Where did she go now? Always running off. Doesn’t tell any body where she’s going. All she does is cause trouble. “Son.” father came into the bedroom, “Can I talk with you?” did I have an option? He would just talk any ways. “Yes, I will. Now About Alana. What happened?” did he really have to ask? I’m more that sure that he just listened in. “She asked me how I felt about her.” Father nodded and made that hmm noise. He always made that noise when he was in thought, wasn’t sure what to say.
“Well son. You should have told her that you love her.”
“Why?” why make a fool of my self? I’m a vampire, I don’t love.
“She has admitted it to her self that she loves you. Why can’t you do the same?” she admitted she loved me?
“Who did she tell this to?”
“I can read her thoughts, and you are all she thinks about.”
“Ok she thinks about me but has she said the words, I love Dylan?” father nodded,
“Yes, she has said them a few times. And I think she was coming up here to tell you that.” she was going to tell me? No, I don’t believe him.
“you don’t have to believe me, just believe her.” father said as he left. Laying on the bed going over what had almost happened. Between me and Alana, almost. That must have been why she had asked me how I felt about her. But how can you fall in love with someone in less than a week? I’ve been around for centuries, and have yet fallen in love with someone, except Alana. She makes me feel like no other women has. Is that love? Father seems to be sure it is. Does she love me enough to turn? Would she damn her soul and live an eternity with me?
Not a half hour after she left, I heard her screaming. Screaming in pain. I rushed to the door but stopped. The sun was coming up. It was already light outside. Would I be able to get to her and back with out burning to a crisp? Where was she exactly? Where would she go? She was screaming again. But this time it was fading. Fading fast. “fuck this.” I ran out the door, the sun coming from over the horizon, burning my skin. The trees not creating enough shade to shield me from the burning star. Running through the trees, I knew exactly where she would of gone. After fighting with me, there sonly one other person she would want to talk to and that was Bo. Despite the fact last night was a full moon, she was thick headed enough to run into the woods. Getting past the lake I saw her on the ground. Bo had her shoulder in his grip. A paw on her stomach and the other beside her head. With one clean swipe he could kill her.
He must have caught my scent cause he let go and ran off. I could smell her blood, so much of it. The horrible taste returning to my mouth. I chased him, leaving her to die. She was sure to die with that much blood loss and there wasn’t a thing to do. Nothing but get the culprit. Tackling Bo, he snarled at I growled. The sun was beating down on me making me loose energy. As I became more and more of a dead corpse, Bo began changing back to human. Both of us loosing our strength. He laid limp in human form, as I laid limp drying up in the sun light. Only minuets and I’ll be ash. Bo got up, he stood over me. Giving me a view I did not want. “Go back to the house master, I’ll help her.” before could disagree or consent, he left and ran toward her direction. Not enough energy to go back to the house, I laid there. I couldn’t move. I was going to truly die before I could hear Alana tell me she loves me.
Father stood over me, picking me up I felt that familiar speed and power. He carried me to the house. Being as old as he, he was able to withstand the sun a hell of a lot better than me. I instantly felt my skin repairing its self as he poured blood from his flesh into my mouth. No blood was more powerful than a vampires, how else would we be able to do so much. Able to exist? The living dead? So we weren’t really dead, but we weren’t alive. We were damned. And with father being so old, his blood was like sugar in my mouth. So tasteful and desirable. He put me in the basement, in complete darkness, not a single window for light to invade. By night fall I would be healed, not fully but enough to finish what I started with Bo. And with last night being the last full moon, he would be powerless. IF she was dead, than I would make his death just as excruciating. Until than, all I could do is sleep and dream about the damage I will inflict on that mutt.
