A plain White cat sits at a window, and looks into the distance. Rolling hills and grass and trees are all ahead of her. Yet she is in this home, with carpet and hard floor. No grass or natural prey. Just wet food and dry. It was lonely, other than the visits and the pettings of her owners. But there was nobody her own size to play with. She had neibors, but they don't have an outside schedual similar to hers. She walks around and eats and drinks as she pleases, but there is still an empty spot inside. She was longing to go outside the back fence. She longed to explore, to meet animals her size and see amazing things! But what about her housefolk? How would they react? Would they miss her?

All I knew right then was the thought of the wind blowing through my white fur.
