It opens its jaw, preparing its painful death for me, and I knew in a few seconds, I'd be shreds. Even for such a small thing, it wouldn't take long for an adult to arrive at the scent of fresh blood. I close my eyes to make the situation a little less painful, although it wouldn't matter.

1.. It lowers its face towards mine, breathing its foul breath.. And starts..
Licking me?! I open my eyes and see the small creature, covering my face in its slobber. I should be quiet, but instead I actually burst out in a small laughter. It feels good to laugh for the first time in forever. I sit up, pushing the werewolf's face slightly, to move it away from mine. I feel bad for the wolf pup, all alone, living in this horrible place. I snap once again out of my thought train, when the pup growls again. Its mother is probably near, and is probably thrilled at the thought of food.
"Uh, you'd best be going now, little guy. I gotta go before your mother rips me to pieces," I say to the wolf, but it just tilts its head.
"Oh won't you go already? I'm not looking forward to being wolf-bait." I groan, standing up, he is frustrating me a small bit. I start climbing up the stairs again, but the werewolf pup won't stop following me, and I'm not looking forward to company. I just decide to keep going and ignore the fact that there is a man-eating wolf-pup behind me.
On my journey, I usually think about what happened in and with this 'Box' and why I'm the only human left here. My sister told me this story a lot, since I couldn't remember anything that happened to me before the age of 7.
"The people of Earth were horrible, selfish people and didn't have a care in the world for what happened to the beloved planet. Soon enough, as predicted; they used up every resource possible, and had to find another planet to live on, since everything was all gone. Along with that, people all over the world had been getting horrible skin diseases and horrible burns that even the hospitals couldn't cure. They found out it was from the sun, and that all the pollution had eaten the ozone layer to nothingness. But soon enough, NASA found another planet worthy of Earth's beings. They called the planet "Aeon", and people soon left to build civilization there. But they realized that while settlement was being built on Aeon, they would need to find a healthy place for us, away from the sun's rays. So they built 'The Box'. Constructed with humungous walls of many materials, then created a surrounded city. The people soon left after Aeon was built, and learned to love the new settlement. We were ready to go on the last rocket with our parents, but they separated us from them, and sent us to look for any materials, and bring it back to Aeon, they said they'd pick us up in 7 days' time... but they never came back for us. I found old blueprint notes, Noah, and there is a rocket on the roof. It's path-set to Aeon and is locked with the password: SCRATCH. Nobody knows why they had to protect the box, other than for the people. It is said that there is something special about it that soon the Aeon dwellers will have to come back for"
I wonder what that is. Ever since Soph fell, I have made it my personal mission to see the sun, no matter what it takes, because: The Sun Awaits.
