"Hey, Bill! I want to make a deal with you." Dani shouts, coming out from her hiding place. Bill turns around, and comes a little closer as if to see if he was just imagining her.
"WELL, MY PUPPET HAS COME BACK TO MAKE A DEAL WITH ME. THIS IS A FIRST, WELL THE TERMS WILL BE..."
"My deal, my rules. If not, no deal." Dani says. Bill thinks for a moment, a million thoughts running through his head, but only one goal.
"FINE. A DEAL IS A DEAL. BUT, I WILL BE EXPECTING A LITTLE... FAVOR... IN RETURN."
"Ok. Here are the terms: I know that you want me to see what it's like in the dreamscape, and I want you to experience reality. So, for ten thousand years, I will go to the dreamscape, and not be allowed out, and you will come here, with no escape for ten thousand years." Bill looks shocked, then goes through a bunch of mixed emotions.
Finally bill answers "FINE, I'LL DO IT." And holds out his hand, a blue clearish flame bursting out from it. Dani surprises all of the neighborhood residents by holding out her hand, with a flame that was mostly white, but glimmered light purple and mint green. They clasped each other's hand, and shook once, twice, three times. Suddenly Bill yanks on Dani's arm, and everyone can see the faint wisps of Dani leaving her body. Bill fulfills his half of the deal, his usual triangle collapses onto the ground in a heap of fabric. Bill feels a nudging on his side and he looks up. Above him, towers... Dani?
"Well, well, little brother. It seems that I have out tricked you on the first try." Bill stands up, no longer a triangle, but a human boy, a short, thirteen year old boy. He was clothed in a yellow tux, a bit much for just becoming a human. The tail on the tux bends out on either side, making a triangle, with a faint, darker yellow brick pattern along the bottom. His golden, yellow-blond hair was long on one side, and it flopped down to cover one of his eyes, and was short on the other side. His hands were still encased by a gentle, flickering blue flame. He stands up, and turns quickly to face dani.
"WHY DO YOU CALL ME LITTLE BROTHER? WERE THE SAME AGE!" Dani smirks at him, just making him even more angry.
"Technically, I'm ten seconds older. And now that you're on earth, you have no physical powers. At all. Well, other than the fire thing. You can still do that."
Bill stamps his foot on the pavement. "BUT THAT'S NOT FAIR!"
Dani steps forward even closer to her brother. "Well, Bill, or should I call you by your real name..."
"YOU'D BETTER NOT!!" He shouts.
"Ben Cryption. I said it, and did anything happen? No. Well, Ben, What should we do with you?"
"NO! IT SOUNDS LIKE WE'RE SOME OF THOSE ALL MATCHY TWINS! NO NO NO!"
"Just cuz my name is Danielle Cryption, and your is Ben Cryption?"
"NO, ITS BECAUSE YOUR NICKNAME AT BIRTH WAS D, AND BEN CRYPTION SOUND LIKE ENCRYPTION, AND D CRYPTION SOUNDS LIKE DECRYPTION! TOO MATCHY!" Ben whines.
"But remember how many people liked it? We got so many compliments!" Ben-Bill pouts in a sort of aggressive way, and plops down on a park bench.
"BUT HOW'D YOU PULL THAT OFF ANYWAY?" He asks.
"Ever heard of Life Model Decoys? Now there's an LMD floating somewhere out there in the dreamscape for the next ten thousand years. And," Dani sits next to Ben. "Have you noticed how much I dream?" Ben nods, and looks up at the sky, his hair never moving away from his eye. "And you know how you have a home away from home? Like how one might live in Denver, and take on tons of their traditions, but they were born in Tennessee, and still talk with a southern accent? That like me with the dreamscape. Reality is my home away from home. I am human, and do everything in human ways, but I dream. Like, a lot. Dreams are my southern accent. They are like a portal where I can go back to the dreamscape, and live how I used to. Do me a favor." Ben looks up at Dani with a hopeful sparkle in his eye. "Let earth be your home away from home. Go live like a normal person. Down here you only got one life, you know." Dani stands up and walks away, leaving Ben sitting on a park bench, businessmen and stay at home moms rushing past as if nothing happened, and Ben wasn't some extraterrestrial being. Dani didn't bother to tell him where she was going. He would know. Pretty soon, he was going to come knocking at her door, asking for forgiveness. Then Dani would agree, and teach him how to be normal. They would live their lives dreaming, like a normal person. Because In the end, aren't we all just dreamers in an endless universe?
