"Ella, wake up dear. We are at the school," a familiar voice whispered in my ear.
I slowly opened my eyes to see Teddy standing in front of me, holding some papers and a chemistry book. I bolted up and looked around the empty bus.
"Oh god. Teddy?! What time is it?" I groaned out, quickly gathering my things.
"It is 8:30 dear."
Mumbling a quick thanks, I grabbed the papers and chemistry book from his grasp and walked towards the front of the bus.
"Um.. Teddy?" I giggled, looking back at him.
He looked up from sweeping the bus with a confused look.
"What's so funny Ella?"
"Um.. I kind of need the door opened to leave," I said, nodding my head toward the door.
He glared at me as he walked up near the front of the bus.
"You know Ella, you could have just opened it yourself," he replied.
"Now what's the fun in that? Besides, I was too lazy," I said, walking down the steps grinning.
"I'll get you back for this Ella-phant!" he yelled from the window of the bus.
I turned back toward him, sticking my tongue out.
I giggled before turning around, running right into a solid chest. Dropping all of my stuff, I groaned before getting down on one knee to pick it all up, again. After picking everything up, I started to get up, but was pushed down on the ground.
"You need to watch where you walk."
I looked down, afraid to look up to see the piercing green eyes that held disgust. I paled at the thought of what he would do to me for accidentally running into him. I quietly heaved a sigh, not wanting him to hurt me worse.
"What do you want Michael," I spat out.
Michael laughed menacingly.
"You know what I want Ella. I have done it for the past 4 years. You should know the time schedules."
I gritted my teeth, "Oh, sorry, but you see, I am busy until..." I looked down at my wrist, pretending there was a watch there, " oh, lookie there. I'm always busy. Maybe you can reschedule a time-"
I cowered back, holding my right cheek.
"Don't you ever talk to me that away again, do you hear me? I can ruin your life in just a snap of my fingers," he yelled, stepping a little closer to me.
Like you haven't already.
"I'm sorry Michael.. I will do all your homework for a week," I whimpered.
"Oh please. I was gonna make you do it anyway," he scoffed, kicking my feet.
I held back a sob, trying my best not to cry. It would just result in more bullying.
"Aw, is the little Ella about to cry? How sickening," he spat, kicking me in the side.
Holding back a yelp, I tried to stand up, ignoring the throbbing pain near my rib cage, but I was thrown back to the ground, hitting my head on the cement. I heard his evil laugh coming closer and closer to me with every step. I opened my eyes to see him standing over me with a wicked grin on his face.
He looks like the uglier version of the Joker with that face.
"What did you say?" he hissed at me.
"Huh?" I choked out.
"Did you just call me the uglier version of the Joker?"
"Um.. no?" I questioned him, trying to sound innocent.
