Today is my man's birthday. Cannot believe we are getting old here. Well anyway, I was getting August's dinner together since I had a surprise for him tonight. I was making him t-bone steak with mash potato and steamed veggies with a buttered rolls. August like to be extra when it comes down to food, so I added the spicy gumbo as our appetizer.

I know he gone enjoy this. He was in the studio so I had enough time to get everything together and I didn't wanna ruin it at all. I took my time cooking every food. This is my man's day. He should be able to come home to food being ready for him.

Right after I got done with the gumbo, I went straight up stairs and got myself prepped for the night. he should be home soon so I hurried back downstairs and finished cooking what I had left to do. August came home around the time the rolls got done. Perfect timing.

"Happy birthday baby" I said as I kissed my man. "Thank baybeh, damn what you got going on here." he said as he smiled.

"Well little ole me decided she was gonna cook for you. Come on and sit down. Enjoy your dinner." I said as I pulled him over to the table.

I watch the birthday boy devour his food. I knew he was enjoying it because he went for seconds and thirds. Once everything was cleaned up, he was laying in the bed watching tv. I let that distract him while I changed into this sexy outfit I got him. Once everything was on, I dimmed the light a bit and then grabbed a chair for the room. I turned off the tv and grabbed August.

"Bae, come on you know how I feel about that." he said

He doesn't like when people turn off the television while hes watching. Tonight, I don't care.

"I have a surprise for you." I said as I sat him down. I went towards the radio, and then turned on my song. I love this song, like it's not even funny. Shit mind as well make a baby off of this.

Once the song came, I slowly took off my robe and then started dancing. August eyes was glued onto me. He did not care if I messed up or not, he still thinks it's sexy. I slowly sat on him and made out with him as the song slowly went off.

"Damn baby, didn't know you had it in you" he said as he kissed on my neck.

"I try" I said.

He kept kissing me how I like. I knew for sure my panties was getting wet. He stopped in the middle of our session, and went right into the bathroom like nothing was even happening. He came back out within 10 minutes, and sat on the bed. It was like something was wrong with him but I couldn't even tell.

"Baby, I said I wasn't going to do this." he said lowly. Now I'm scared because he might dump me for something I did in the past. See he know I was stripper when I was just a teenager. I had to take care of myself because my mother was popping kids like crazy and she needed help.

"What's the matter." I said while I slid in my robe facing the door. I couldn't see the hurt in his eyes. I knew dancing for him was going to be a bad idea.

"Turn around" he said. I didn't wanna turn around but I had no choice but to. Once I turned around to see what this boy had, I gasped so loud. August had a diamond ring that looked so beautiful.

"August, what"

"I wasn't going to do this until your birthday but I couldn't do that. Baby, you have been there for me. No one can hold it down like you do when I am away. I thank god everyday for you. Without you I don't think I would ever become a man that I am today. Thank you for even stepping up to be in my daughter's life. You really ain't have to but still you did. I love you for that. So this is my appreciation to you for the rest of my life. So will you be a nigga wife?"

"Really August?" I said, and he gone laugh.

"Will you marry me?" he asked.

"Yes baby, I will" I said as I grabbed his neck and kiss him.

His surprise was way better than mines. "Happy Birthday Baby!" I said as he laid me down so we could make love.
