Part 10

When we got the unexpected call we were sitting in the car. I looked at Johnnie's phone and asked if he was gonna answer it. He said no so I did, I'm happy and sad that  I answered. The call was about Johnnie's mother. They said they didn't know if she would make it through the night. I started crying and told them we would be on our way. Johnnie asked why I was crying and all I said was go to the hospital now. He  listened and started heading there  , a few minutes later he asked why we were going back and that it hurt him to see her like this. I said if you don't go and see her now you might regret it in the future. That's when Johnnie started freaking out.

Johnnie: What the fuck do you mean Alex, my mom is fine she will be out of the hospital soon. She's  fine ..... Right?

Alex: I don't know Johnnie they said they didn't know if she would make it overnight. You need to go and see her just incase.

I finished my last word right as we pulled into the hospital. Johnnie started crying and I got out of the car and walked over and got him out. I stood him up an just hugged him.  I finally got him to go up and see his mom she looked so bad you could see how hurt Johnnie got when we walked through the door of her room. After about an hour or so the doctor pulled us out an said that she might not make it over night but there is also a really big chance she will. Johnnie started crying really hard and the doctor said , I know this is really hard we are trying our best to help your mom but she is in such bad condition. Go and see her and tell her you love her and don't keep yourself way to worried I'm pretty sure she will make it. She is a tough woman and I think she will be fine. We stayed with Johnnies mom until we got kicked out because visiting hours are over. They said they would call if anything happened. I said okay and walked Johnnie to the elevator and to the car. I drove home that way Johnnie would rest and try and calm down. When we got home I walked Johnnie to bed because he was crying so hard he could barely see. I laid him down and laid next to him I wrapped my arm around him and held him really tight.  Next thing I knew we were both asleep. Then about 5 in the morning I got a call from the hospital and it woke me and Johnnie up. I answered and they said they knew how to help Johnnies mom. They have an operation that would make her super healthy. I looked a Johnnie and I told him about it and he said it was a perfect idea and that they need to do I as soon as possible.  They said they would start giving her medicines for it and getting her ready and they would call us about an hour before they start it so me and Johnnie could be there.
