Louis had just come back from his world tour, so you both decided to go and meet up at Starbucks, your favorite coffee shop ever. You hadn't seen him since he had left for his audition, and it had been a long 2 and a bit years, though you had always kept in contact by skype and calling. You were more than happy to see Louis again, and you found it hard to contain your excitement.
You sat patiently on the couch in the back corner of Starbucks drinking your warm cup of hot chocolate when he walked in. He looked tired, and you felt bad for making him come and see you a day after he got back. His hair was messy and he was wearing light blue keans rolled up at the ankle, black vans and a plain white tee, and he looked hot. When he noticed you, his face lit up and you couldn't help but smile that you had made him this happy, mind you you hadn't seen one another in a while.
You stood up and he went in for a hug but you put your hands up in protest. It was a hot morning and Louis looked a little.. sweaty.
“Nuh-uh. You’re sweaty as hell. What happened to you?" You ask as he wipes his sweaty forehead with the palm of his hand.
“Just got chased by a mob of fans, I seriously regret not bringing Paul with me." He says plopping himself onto the couch opposite you. This felt like old times when you and Louis use to meet up and sit in this corner together. Sometimes you would end up sitting here until closing, the workers ending up kicking you out.
“So, why did you ask me to come here?" You ask curiously, taking a sip of your hot chocolate.
“Well. Is it wrong to want to see my best friend from my teenage years? Plus. I missed you. I haven’t seen you for years and now that fate has brought us back together, I don’t want to ever lose touch again." He grins, smiling from ear to ear and you feel yourself blush. You believed in fate, and Louis knew that as well.
“Hmm, so what makes you think that I don’t want to lose contact with you?" You say smiling, with an eyebrow raised in anticipation of his answer. You liked teasing Louis, but he was always quick to respond.
“No one loses contact with me on purpose. Especially not a gorgeous girl like you." He says, winking at you. You join the laughter knowing that Louis didn't mean what he said about you being gorgeous, no matter how much you wish that Louis would be attracted to you like you were to him, you knew that it would never happen.
“Oh Lou. Just as cheeky as alway-."
“Plus." He says suddenly with a serious expression and you bite down on your lip. Louis was hardly serious and if he was, it usually was something big.
“I wanted to ask you something." You smile at him awkwardly, his blue eyes hard to read.
“Okay. Fire away." You say looking into his bright blue eyes.
“Tour was horrible. Do you know why it was horrible?" You shake your head. Louis loved touring so you wondered what had happened.
“Because I wasn’t with you. I know it sounds insanely cheesy, but I really missed you. During our years apart, I forgot how much you actually meant to me. But now I remember." You looked at him with your jaw on the floor. He looks deep into your eyes and whispers,
“Do you want to go out to dinner sometime?" You smile at him and bite your lip.
“Depends. My schedules kinda busy." You joke, smiling, not actually believing that Louis had asked you out. You had always hoped that he would like you and now that he just admitted it you were stunned.
He leans forward grinning and gives you a hug but before you hug him back, you push him away.
“Lou! You smell horrible." you giggle, but Louis pulls you back in for a hug and you give in. You love his hugs, they've always made you happy.
“Grace I don’t think you know how happy I am right now." He smiles giving you a kiss on your cheek.
