Sometimes I want to scream and release all the pain. Release the pain my father brought on me, release the pain I've had bottled up for years since my mother died, and lastly release the pain I've also kept bottled up since my brother died.
The people in my life, are gone. Dead, or an abusive drunk.
Lying down on my bed staring up at my ceiling as Kayla and Jane sort through my clothes looking for an out-fit for me to wear to the bon-fire in a few hours. Kayla holds up one of my sun-dresses my brother bought me for my 18th, I thought I chucked it away.
Looking at it my eyes well up with tears,
"This one, you're wearing this to the bon-fire tonight, the guys will be drooling over you!" Kayla said.
While Jane and Kayla discuss how they're going to do my hair I slide the thin material through my fingers and sigh and close my eyes as the memory flows back.
"Penut, you really should stop drinking, you'll regret it in the morning." Braiden said, I chuckle and hold my 5th shot to my mouth and gulp it down as the tequila burns my throat.
"I'm fine bro, relax! I'm eighteen now, no longer a minor, I can do what I want!" I laugh. Braiden shakes his head and walks away pissed off with my choices. A pair of arms wrap around my waist as I giggle and turn around and brush my lips against my most handsome boyfriend.
"Hey baby," I giggle against his lips and he kisses down my neck and a loud crash comes from the far corner of the room. I stop and look from where the noise comes from, and my heart stops and I freeze.
"BRAIDEN!"
"Jules?" I'm jolted out of my memory and my face feels wet with tears, "Oh my god, what's wrong, Jules?" Kayla cries as she looks at me in concern.
"Nothing, nothings wrong, I'm just starting to miss home a little." I plaster on a fake smile, and she smiles sadly and holds the dress out towards me.
"Get changes hot stuff, get ready to blow some minds."
