The night of the full moon. Many believe that werewolves are just a legend. But, like all legends, this, too, has a grain of truth. The Clawen - a group of highly intelligent wolves with the gift of tongues. But why the full moon? Thankfully, on the night of the full moon,the Clawen do not transform into savage beasts with a thirst for human flesh, but they do experience extreme increase in levels of strength, stamina, and power. Here's a bit of advice; never fight a Clawen on the full moon unless you have a death wish. No one knows exactly how they got their superior intelligence, but legend has it that a cunning wolf once tricked a powerful wizard into trading souls with it. The wizard, realising what had happened, used his last spark of magic to curse that wolf and all its descendants to be outcasts, rejected and despised, wherever they went.
The wolves, having traded souls with a wizard, developed powers. For reasons unknown, the magic evolved differently for different wolves. This led to a war between them, now known as the Great Divide, which resulted in the wolves breaking up into many different groups. The ones with the most wolves are Shadow Clan, Ice Clan, Warrior Clan, and The Mix.
Now, the Clawen have mostly gone into hiding. They are rarely seen, and when they are, the person who did never lives to tell the tale.
