A Crazy Metal Thing

Chapter 6

~Korra~

We all got up early the next day; really, REALLY early. It was still dark out when we left the Camp. 

Nico was leading the quest given that he is a son of Hades and we are going to the Underworld.  He had us dropped off in a field about 2 hours from Camp Half - Blood. 

"What are we doing here? And is this really what the entrance to the Underworld looks like?" I asked him, one eyebrow raised.

"We are here because if I let Argus drive us closer he would've gotten killed. And no this isn't what the entrance to the Underworld looks like, we still have about 2 hours of walking to go." He replied as we walked through the field. I sighed, 2 more hours of walking! Couldn't we at least ride in on pegasi? No, we have to walk. Ugh. Then something hit me. Mobius.

We had only been walking a few minutes when abruptly Korra stopped, grabbed my arm, and pulled me aside. 

"What are you doing?" I hissed under my breath, glancing behind her at Leo and Nico who were staring at us.

"Mobius." She whisper yelled. "Mobius! We forgot to call him back!"

Mobius. How could I have forgotten? Well, to be honest I hadn't really; I had thought about him this morning but I wasn't sure if calling him out here would be a good idea. You see, Mobius is my pegasus; my friend Kyle (a son of Hephaestus) had made him for me. Mobius is a mechanical pegasus, he can do anything from breathe fire to talk with me privately inside my head. He had been on the look out for more monsters during our battle with the Echidna. I had told him to stay away from the Camp until we found out more about them. 

"I'm going to call him, okay?" I whispered.

"Alright, but make sure he appears to be a normal pegasus not the crazy metal thing he really is." 

I tilted my head back to look at the sky and reached into my thoughts.

 Hey Mobius? You up there?

I waited about a minute before I got a response.

I never left Captain! 

I smiled to myself, it felt good to hear his voice again. 

Come on down but make sure you have your fur on!  Yeah, I know it sounds weird but Mobius can hide the metal that makes up his body with the thick, corse fur of any other pegasus. Mobius' fur is dark brown (almost black) with purple eyes. 

Korra and I kept our heads tilted up to the sky waiting for Mobius to appear. Nico and Leo were giving us strange looks.

"What are you guys doing?" Leo asked, the look on his face resembled a confused puppy.

"You'll see." I winked at him, grinning.

WHOOSH. A huge gust of wind swirled around us. 

"What in Olympus........." Leo gasped

A beautiful big dark brown pegasus stood before us. 

 "Hey, um, guys? Meet my pegasus, Mobius. Mobius this is Nico and Leo. " Harper explained.

"Can Mobius fly?" Leo asked

" No, he just magicly appears out of no where. Of course he flys!!" Korra said sarcasticly.

  Hey mobius , these are my friends, Leo and Nico . Do you think you can fly us into the forest? Nico will tell you where to go.

Sure captain! Mobius exclaimed. 

"Alrighty then! Everybody, hop on!" I smiled, it was good to have Mobius back.
