Chapter one

Dippers Pov

I awoke to the sound of my alarm and the smell of pancakes.I decided that today must be a day worth getting out of bed.My feet hit the cold hardwood floor and I limped miserably to the kitchen.I was greeted warmly by Mabel who handed me a plate of  flapjacks."So do you got your bags packed yet?" She asked while shoving an entire pancake in her mouth.
"No." I replied.She mumbled something incoherently, that sounded like"Ell Boo Better jet  tracking." I nodded even though I had no idea what she said.I finished my hotcakes and I hurried off to my room.I stuffed three outfits in a garbage bag,put on my favorite hat,and called it a day.The bus left in an hour so I figured I could get some more sleep. Just when I started to doze off Mabel shook me and yelled
"Come on Dipper get up we're going to miss our ride!"I got out of bed , grabbed my bag and we left.The bus station was only a block away so we walked.We barley made it.We climbed onto that bus and I took the window seat.We played some of those road games that we used to play as kids,but eventually I fell asleep.When I awoke,we were passing the sign that read "Welcome To Gravity Falls"The bus stopped,and we got off.I took a deep breath and thought Man it good to be back.

We searched the crowds of people for Grunkle Stan or uncle Ford,but there was no sign of either of them I lost sight of Mabel in the crowd of People,but then I saw her again,but she wasn't alone.She was talking to a tall guy with  blonde hair,a top hat,a fancy yellow suit with a bow tie,and an eye patch over his right eye.He was supporting his weight on a black cane.Something about him seemed odd.Mabel and the stranger walked in my direction,but the walked right past me.I noticed that he had a pocket watch,but there was something else..something about that book he had tucked under his arm. I followed them to see where they were going but ended up bumping into somebody.I got back up off the  floor and brushed myself off.I looked up to see that I had ran into Grunkle Stan."Kid what do you think you are doin?"He said.I replied"I was going to go see where Mabel went.She ran off with some boy."Grunkle  Stan sighed and said"Look,Mabel is a big girl.She can take care of herself.She dont need you following her around like a lost puppy dog all of the time.Got it?"  I started to speak,but he silenced me.I followed him to the car and we drove off.I expected him to take the path that led to what had once been the mystery shack,but he stopped the car in front of a condo.I said nothing as I followed  him inside.I plopped down on the couch and turned on the TV.
