I woke up to a bad feeling.
I felt like I wasn't in my usual setting.
I hear a girl crying in a distance.
The room is dark.
I coughed, which was a bad mistake.
Either I was being gagged with a cloth, or something was keeping me from breathing; next thing I know, I was out again.

I'm at brunette.
I was running, and running. I didn't know where I was running to. I ran through a forest. While escaping to the other side, I see a street light, indicating that I'm almost safe.
I don't know where I am, or where I was going.
I see a gas station appearing in my vision.
I run as fast as I can without looking back.
When I stepped in front of the store, I stopped to take a deep breath. I turned around to make sure no one was following me.
I walked into the store like nothing was wrong.

"Hello, do you give out free cups of water?" I asked the counter man.

He nodded, "Yes".

He seemed to look at me strange before turning around to grab my cup of water. While his back was turned, I quickly stole some candy & chocolates, and stuffed them in the jacket pocket.

When giving me the cup of water, he was greeted with a smile on my face.

"You look familiar, do I know you?" The man asked while I was sipping on the water.

I shook my head no. "No, I never seen you before".

"What's your name?" He asked.

"Sofia", I replied.

My name is Christina.

I turned to the sound of the bell that was on top of the store door, indicating a customer came in. I stood shook when a male entered the door. I sighed with relief when a woman and a child came in following behind him.

"Excuse me sir, there's no one outside to put gas in our car" the man said.

The counter man sighed before taking off his cap, wiping his head and putting the cap back on, "Okay, I'm coming".

We were the only ones in the store. Me, the counter man, the couple, and their kid.

I acted like I was still drinking a little bit of my water, and waited for them to start leaving the store. As they went outside, I quickly put on my hood and went behind the counter to take some cash out the cash register.

I ran outside after them so the man wouldn't suspect a thing.

When the counter man was finished putting the gas in the couples car, he went back in the store.

"Hi, I'm sorry to disrupt you", I approached the couple, "but I'm actually lost and was wondering if you can drive me a few miles from here" I asked.

The man didn't reply, but the woman replied with a smile, "Sure sweetie, you look like you had a rough night".

She had no idea.

I smiled, and walked around the car to get ready to open the back door to sit next to the little girl.  As I'm about to sit in the car, I see a figure running towards the store. I quickly hopped in the car and rest my head against the window as the couple drive off.

That's when I realized, I dropped my cup on the floor that had my lipstick stain on it.
