Excuses

Now back to Yuki and L. This takes pace before Maki and Toki got kidnapped.
"Yuki…" L began to say.
Yuki stopped walking and stared at L, "Yes？"
"Did you hear that？" L asked her.
Yuki leaned over onto the cement wall and cupped her hands around her ears.
"Something is……crashing on the walls." Yuki said slowly and surely.
"Ahh…the boulder-" L began to say as he covered his hand over his mouth.
"Boulder？" Yuki said questioning him.
"Ehh…umm…yea…let me check what is happening." L said standing, "you stay here."
Yuki nodded as she sat down on the muddy ground and started drawing on it. Not being the 'smartest' person in the group…Yuki never found it suspicious about how L could find his way around this maze easily.

Now let's not talk about them for too long~ Now to Yui. She was wandering around aimlessly as she evaluated this place. She wasn't having a lot of difficulties but, her area was full of traps. Spikes, lasers, etc. Yui was about to step inside a mud pit when she heard a 'thud' behind her. Yui immediately turned her head around to face that sound.
"Angel！？" Yui exclaimed.
"Owwwwww…wait. Where am I？" He responded.
"Oh…it's nothing much. Your just trapped in an underground maze, that's below an abandoned cabin, that no one ever visits and preferably no way out." Yui said managing to say it with a big smile.
"Uh…that doesn't sound good." Angel said.
"Oh…and your trapped inside a place with traps that can kill you any moment now." Yui added.
"Soo…what's your name？" Angel asked Yui.
"Oh…right. I never got a chance to introduce myself. My name is Kasanagi Yui." She said as she vigorously shook Angel's hand.
Yui didn't wait for a response. Instead, she marched ahead.
Suddenly Angel grabbed her arm and said, "mud pit."
"Arigato." Yui replied as she bowed and  carefreely jumped over the mud pit. In addition to that, she skipped over rolling logs.
Angel followed her.

Back to L…he quickly found the exit to the maze and met up with other people. These people called the, 'archfiends'.
"Lord. I am sure the vampire is here. I can sense her." The young message said.
"Ok. And how might we get rid of her？" L asked.
"Lord. We have some traps activated and two people approaching this way！" the message said alarmed as he checked an electronic device.
"Ok. You and your group will capture one of them and I'll handle the other one."
L waited for them as two people jumped through the white fire, follows by a boulder crashing through the cabin. Once they regained consciousness and chatted for a while…L looped a bag over one of them. Now that brings us to the current situation. After all the kicking and hissing…Toki recognized L's voice.
"Wait aren't you…L！？" Toki exclaimed.
"Umm…correct." L responded. "Sorry…Toki. I'm gonna use you as bait to lure out that vampire."
"Vampire？" Toki asked confused.
"Well, apparently she is one of your companions." L said and the messenger informed him about it. Maki suddenly stopped kicking and silently worried about this situation.
"Was Yui correct after all？" Maki thought.
Yuki and Maki completely ignored the spirit thing that happened yesterday.

Before they knew it…Yui, Angel and Yuki exited through the exit of the maze.
"What's going on here？" Angel asked.
"Umm…" L said as he quickly glanced a Yuki. "We are searching for a vampire and, it's either Maki, Yuki or Yui. Wait…why is Maki here？"
"Oh. We bumped into her when we were looking for an exit." Yui explained.
Suddenly the messenger came up to L and whispered to him.
"Wait…Yui. Your a vampire？！" L exclaimed.
"Before I continue. You'll have to release Toki and Maki." Yui said.
Yuki and Angel went up to get them.
Maki quickly approached Yui.
"What do you want？" Maki said hissing at L.
"I'm only here to take the vampire to prison." L said.
Angel, Yuki and Toki stood their in confusion. Vampires…prison…this was too much for them. Not to mention the fact that Angel doesn't even know any of them yet. Once again the messenger spoke to L, "M'lord. We should capture all of the accomplices as well." The messenger said.
"Even Yuki？" L said whispering to the messenger.
"Yes. I know you adoration for her but, as the lord of the Archfiends…we can not have you date a vampire's accomplice." The messenger said explaining the situation.
L sighed as he told the guards to take them to the prison.
"WAIT. THEY DON'T HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THIS. RELEASE THEM！" Yui yelled as she struggled against the guards.
"Yea." Maki said agreeing.
Before they knew it…everyone else was put into a deep sleep. Not long later…Yui and Maki as well. The last sound they heard before losing consciousness was the silent whispering of the summer wind and, the sound of footsteps on the mud squishing in a disgusting manner.
