Are story begins with a girl in the back seat of her mothers car. 'Great...' The girl thought as she looked up at her mother who looked well, pissed. Actually lets back it up.
This girl is Charlotte, and she is on her way to Johnson Middle School! The reason her mother is pissed is because this is an Odd school. See on one paper instead of writing a one page essay about apes, she wrote a ten page paper proving darwins evolution theory. Not only that but she has a little cat companion always on her head. It doesnt have a name but she likes to call it Little Hat. The last reason is because well, she monologues in her head. A Lot. Back to her mother, yeah she hates Odds. Now she tells people that she hates them because they 'killed her parents' but everyone knows she's just jealous.
As Charlotte was thinking about all the outcomes of going to this school she was interrupted in the middle of 'I could be turned into a dolphin.' By a loud cough. It was her mother. Charlotte looked out her window to see that she was one block away from school. "I dont want to be seen anywhere near that dreadful school." said her mother. Charlotte got out and walked the rest of the way while her mother drove off.
When she finally did get to the school everyone and everything was just... How?! One girl had skin that was the color plaid another student was on fire! Not only were the students weird but so was the school. One of the walls were completely replaced with papier-mâché with turtles glued on it! As Charlotte stood in complete shock a very short African-American girl went up to her. And when I say short I mean she was the size of a hand. Charlotte also noticed that the girl had wings! She came to the conclusion that the girl was a fairy or pixie or something like that. "Hello! I'm Xalye! Also I love your cat! He's super cute, can I pet him?" The fairy girl said. "I'm Charlotte, nice to meet you and yeah sure." "So your new here, why don't I show you around?" Xalye said as she petted Little Hat. Charlotte took note of how nice she is. "Okay well, I'm in Mr. Thankinstein's class." Charlotte replied. "Really?! So am I! Come on lets go!" As Xalye flew away, Charlotte knew it was going to be a long year.
