The next day, Harry was probably in the best mood ever, except the fact he was a nerd whose only friend was his bully’s ex-girlfriend. Sure, he didn’t have his phone and sure he had to create two or three white lies to his parents and Hannah so they don’t worry too much.
He walked towards Math class, one of the 5 classes he shared with Louis. Lucky me, he thought as he placed his books on his desk. Harry looked through his books quickly, revising some last minute things in case of a pop quiz. He was maybe too much in advance -20 minutes- but did it matter? Why yes it did.
Someone entered the room quickly and sat at their place. From the corner of Harry’s eye, he saw the person hurry through his book, studying intensely every word.
“Fucking Nick, he just had to have plans to hang out with us yesterday didn’t he? Didn’t even get time to study while I’m shit at this,” the person mumbled.
Harry turned his whole body around to see Louis place his red beanie nervously on his head. He wore a cute white tank top that showed his arm covered in meaningless tattoos. Harry adjusted his collar as he stared at probably the hottest boy he’s ever met.
“What are you looking at nerdy?” Louis said, not even looking up from his books.
Harry gulped and turned back quickly to his books. He looked at the clock and saw the bell would ring any second now as students ran in the class laughing and screaming to their seats like a bunch of wild turkeys on the loose.

“Hey you!” yelled a voice behind Harry as he shoved his books in his locker.
A relatively tall boy with adorable brown eyes and mohawky short hair approached him quickly.
“Um h-hi?” Harry stuttered.
No, he was not socially-awkward, he was socially-retarded. Socializing just wasn’t his thing. Maths, science, geography and all that were, but not people. He’s lucky Hannah even talks to him, or else he’d only have his parents and his sister.
“I’m new here and you seem nice, so I might as well hang out with you! I’m Liam. What’s your name?” The boy said, handing out his hand to Harry.
“I’m H-Harry,” The taller boy said, shaking Liam’s hand.
Liam smiled which Harry could call the cutest smile ever.
“My locker is number 352; could you help me find it?”
Harry chuckled slightly, his glasses falling onto his nose. He adjusted them and pointed at the locker next to him.
“Oh, thanks!”
In the meantime, Louis was staring at Harry and this other boy talking in a weird way. Harry, the socially-awkward nerd talking to someone was hard to believe. Louis leaned against his locker to get a better look at them as Harry glanced at Louis quickly. The tall boy’s cheeks flushed red as Louis grinned. Faggot, he thought. He chuckled and got his money ready for the cafeteria.
“Oi Zayn, hurry up,” he said as he started to walk away from Zayn and Nick.
Zayn and Nick ran to Louis as they walked to the cafeteria. Harry and Liam were still not there, and Hannah was with her friends from gym class. Nick mumbled a quick goodbye as he ran to his fellow photographer friends and Zayn had to go study at the study room. Now now Louis. You’re the most popular kid in school, you can sit wherever you want to, Louis said, cheering himself up. He groaned as he saw Liam and Harry laugh together as they got their lunches. After every giggle, Harry’s dimples appeared and his glasses fell off his nose, obligating him to adjust them every time. It’s kind of cute, Louis thought. Wait, what? Louis, no. You’re not gay that’s for sure.
He bought his lunch quickly and walked towards the hot and popular cheerleader’s table. Sitting at the table was Danielle, Perrie, Eleanor, Leigh-Ann, Jade and Jessie. Eleanor had always had the biggest crush on Louis, and when she saw him approach their table, she smiled in excitement and placed her hair properly.
“Lou-eehh!” She yelled as she hugged the poor boy.
Louis hugged Eleanor back and laughed. He did not like Eleanor, but had to pretend to just like her as a friend or whatever for the sake of his reputation. I mean, it’s only logical he goes out with the most popular in school, right?
“Hi El, how are you?” he asked.
“I’m AMAZING, you?” she said, trailing her words.
Louis smiled and nodded as he sat next to her at their table. He looked back to see Harry, one part of him hoping to catch him stare at him and another wishing he wasn’t. Harry was laughing with Liam as he placed his glasses after almost every giggle. That’s adora- NO LOUIS. He quickly turned back to Eleanor and excused himself to go to the bathroom. He ran to the bathroom and quickly searched for his phone, but found Harry’s instead.
He ran through his text messages with Hannah until he found one very interesting conversation.
Harry, do you have a crush on anyone? Hannah had texted.
Maybe, I’m not sure what this feeling even is and I don’t even know why I love someone so ugly on the inside…
Who? You can tell me anything, babe. Hannah said.
Wait, if they are dating, wouldn’t she know if he had a crush on someone? Now, Louis was just confused as he hurried down to the next text. He leaned against the bathroom counter.
Harry? Hannah had texted after 30 minutes of him not answering her.
I think I may fancy someone, no crush or anything.
Who would that lucky person be? Hannah texted.
Louis stared at the last two words in shock as he heard someone enter the bathroom.
Louis Tomlinson.
“Louis, give me back my phone.”
