Marcel's P.O.V
I stood, in the room watching my Skye, I loved her so much, I should've known this would happen, I should have never left her alone.
I looked at her. She was so broken.
There were stitches covering her collarbone, and her leg was wrapped up, she had a broken foot two. They said it had been sprained but something hitting it might have triggered the break.
There was also stitches near her hip, that were bandaged up as well.
I think the thing that was the worst was her face. She would cry in her sleep for periods of time. It was 1am.
I wished I could've been there. Taken her away. But now she's like this.
Her mother had left an hour ago. I told her I could watch her. She left crying.
I wanted David dead. I wanted nothing more than to hurt him so much worse than he hurt Skye.
Skye's P.O.V
I could feel lights on me now. It wasn't dark anymore. I moved each part of me. Trying to tell what hurt.
I moved my fingers and wrists, they were fine. I moved my arms a tiny bit and then there was some pain near my collarbone. I remember that. I moved my neck, that was fine, my jaw was a bit soar.
Then I moved my hips a back and forth. My entire leg felt like it was being cut off. It was on the right side. My hip, my knee and my foot. I cried out in pain and my eyes opened.
"Bloody hell," I cursed.
I stared at it then looked up at the foot of the hospital bed.
"Marcel," I whispered.
He was there. He must of been here all night. He had sweatpants and converse on and a gray sweater. His hair was up in its quiff and his eyes looked tired. They were red and bloodshot.
He slowly walked over to me, his green eyes looked almost watery.
He opened his mouth to talk but just leaned down and hugged me. I put my arms around his neck.
Marcel started kissing from my collarbone up my neck and along my jaw until he finally got to my lips. When he stopped I noticed a tear on his cheek.
I wiped it away.
He sat beside me I moved over and patted next to me. He looked at me.
"I thought we agreed no secrets," he stated. My breath hitched. His voice sounded hoarse. "Marcel I had to I-"
"I've been beaten up before Skye, but you took more pain in one night. Then I have for a year." His face was blank.
"You should've told me," Marcel's voice got deeper.
"Marcel I wanted to," I reached for his hand. He pulled away.
"No, please," I almost sobbed. "He said if I left you he would stop hurting me, if I left you and went back to him, but he said he's going to kill you when I said no,"
"You should've said yes!" He almost yelled.
My face paled. Did he just say that?
"Marcel, I don't want to," my voice was shaking. "Why would I go back to someone like that. Look where we are!" I raised my voice. The door was shut nobody would hear.
"Who put me here? David! And you want me to go back to him, are you not concerned that he would still hurt me?" I practically scream.
"Of course I am! But I meant in the basketball courts, he wouldn't have done this to you if you just said yes!"
"I don't want to be with anyone else, Marcel, if you were there maybe you would understand!"
I didn't mean it. The second it came out of my mouth I wanted nothing but it to go away.
Marcel's jaw tightened.
"I didn't mean-" He was gone. "Marcel come back!" I yelled out. I took the need out of my arm. A small alarm started going off. I stood, but the second I did I hit the ground. My leg restricted me from anything.
A nurse ran in and cut the alarm and helped me up. I laid back down while she put the needle back in my arm.
"What do you need?" She asked almost annoyed.
"Can you please go get my boyfriend, he has curly hair sticking up and he has green eyes and dimples."
She looked at me like I just sold my soul.
"Fine." She left the room shutting the door. I waited ten minutes before I saw the door open. Marcel looked annoyed.
He walked in shutting the door. He sat down on a chair next to the bed. "I was there, at the end," he said.
"After you called I didn't know what you meant but you said basketball courts. So that's were I went. And the first thing I saw was blood on the basketball courts," he swallowed looking down. "And there was a trail, right up to your car, and the door was opened."
"You were lying there bleeding out, and I was yelling your name trying to get you awake, but you wouldn't wake up, and finally an ambulance showed up,"
"You know what they said to me?" Marcel asked, looking at me now. His voice got louder.
"They said 'She could die,' and all I thought the whole way to the hospital was you were dead,"
I opened my mouth to speak but the doctor walked in.
"Your a lucky girl Skye, if your boyfriend hadn't shown up, well, there's no way to say this nicely, you would be in the morgue,"
My whole body tensed.
"But rest up, we have medication being put together at the pharmacy for you, but you can go if you have a ride," he said glancing at Marcel.
Then he left.
"Can I come over?" I asked Marcel sadly.
"Yeah, why don't you call your mom, I'll go see if I can get a wheel chair to wheel you out," and he left.
I called my mom. She was sobbing. And begged me to come home, but I told her I really need Marcel right now, she agreed, I told her to get some sleep.
Marcel returned with a wheelchair.
