Usually a bad boy masquerading as a werewolf, the Alpha is everything you'd ever want in a man. Plus more teeth.
Relationship status: Single, but destined to be a mate to the Weroine (were-heroine)/Heroine (one or both of them may not know it yet, which is usually a big part of the story's plot)
Wolf description:
Black. His mate is usually the ultra rare special white, but sometimes he is.
He's enormous, massive, powerful, sleek furred, sharp white teeth; he's an Alpha, so obviously his wolf can dominate everyone else in the pack. He exudes confidence. And sex. That's how Alphas do.
Growls. It's sorta his thing. He doesn't yip and run around and bark and howl like all the other wolves, mostly because they give him his space.
Habitat: Somewhere he can observe you. Anywhere conducive to having packmates and others fawn over him. Woods.
Rarely found: being a regular human in a regular school/job position.
Physical attributes:
See The Bad Boy.
Their outward (and wolfish) appearance usually line up with their soul. Which is dark, because honey, you don't get to be alpha without having certain personality traits!
Abs. You're not a werewolf Alpha if you don't have a lickable six-pack. All that fightin' and stuff as oversized wolves means you've gotta keep the human muscles in shape...because it's not like those things change with the rest of your anatomy.
Younger than the typical alpha. In his twenties, most likely. Still king, though.
Default expression: Glow-y, smoldering eyes
Common traits:
See The Bad Boy.
On top of being an Alpha, there's a very good chance that he is the king. Of all werewolves. Even other alphas.
Growls a lot of dialogue. Snarls. Lip curls/twitches. His dialogue attributes tend to be animalistic, as do a lot of his actions.
Terrifying. Has the uncanny ability to make people fear him. Even uppity folks who may not even know he's a were (except the Heroine) tend to metaphorically roll over and expose their throats.
Possessive. Extremely. This is his #1 trait. And he's especially possessive of his mate (even if he doesn't know her well or anything). This is how he shows his undying love for her.
Wealthy.
Handsome. Sexysexysexy. Only enemy alphas are ugly.
Untamed by any mortal!
Weaknesses:
His Mate, the heroine. She's the only one who can tame the beast inside.
He might be a tough nut to crack, but when the Heroine worms her way into his heart, he's actually got feelings inside. Big, strong, mushy ones.
Common background info:
If the heroine is also a were, he comes from another pack than her. Probably a pack her pack hates.
He's promised to the Heroine.
Parents? What are those? Do you mean 'Alpha'? Because that's me. I take care of the entire pack.

As usual, feel free to comment with anything you'd like to add!
Also as usual, remember that these are COMMON character elements. That doesn't make them bad; it just means that they're used to death. The more detail you add, the more flushed out you make the character, the more of a unique spin you'll put on them!
