Wild Hearts Are All Over the World

Chapter 8

Before the fans that were invited come to the bonfire, R5 runs through the set list. First, they're going to play "Forget About You", then "Heart Made Up On You", then "Pass Me By", then Ross and I are going to duet "You Can Come To Me", then R5's going to end with "Ain't No Way We're Going Home".

Then, the fans arrive. "Alright, guys. Let's get this thing started!" Ross says as the music starts to play, and the fans scream. Ross is staring at me the entire time. It makes me wonder what he sees in me. I don't even realize that they'd finished "Pass Me By" until Ross says, "Alright. So, as you all know, I'm kinda crushing on this one girl. She's here tonight. I want you all to give a warm R5 Family welcome to Daniella Rudberg!" All the fans cheer for me, and I walk onto the little stage that they'd set up just a little bit ago.

"Hi, everyone," I say awkwardly. "For the record, Ross and I are not dating...just so you Ross girls out there know..." When I say that, there's  an explosion of screams from the fans.

"So, we're gonna be singing the song that I sang with Laura Marano...it's called 'You Can Come To Me'...here we go..."

"When you're on your own, drown and alone, and you need a rope that can pull you in / Someone will know it..."

"And when you're afraid that you're gonna break, and you need a way to feel strong again, someone will know it..."

"You can come to me...yeah..." 

When the song ends, the fans clap, and Ross holds my hand for a while, turns me around, and kisses me. It's a pretty long kiss, too. In the moment, I feel butterflies. Honestly, I've been waiting for that to happen for about four years. The fans let out gasps, and I smirk in response. Maybe dating Ross wouldn't be such a bad idea after all, I think to myself. We pull away for a minute. Then, I pull Ross in by the collar of his shirt by surprise and I kiss him. This time, though, the fans let out whoops and yell things like "Kiss him again!" which makes me blush.

"Alright, guys...That's enough PDA for tonight..." Riker says with a laugh, and Ross Rolls his eyes at him. After that, R5 plays "Ain't No Way We're Going Home". all the fans leave after the song, and we take down the setup.

"For the record, Rudberg, you ain't a bad kisser," Ross says with a smirk as we walk back to the car. "Maybe we could go out sometime?"

I laugh. "You aren't too bad yourself, Lynch...and I'd love to," I say with a smile as I blush. 

When we get back to R5's house, we all walk to our rooms, and Ross follows me to my room. He waits outside, and sings his song "Steal Your Heart" to me through the door while I change into my pajamas. The song makes my smile, because it basically describes Ross and I's relationship (well, as far as he knows, anyway). It's perfect because he's playing the guitar while he sings. It's like a dream come true, because I just kissed him, and now he sings to me through the door whenever I'm in my room, which I think is adorable.

When I'm done, I tell Ross that he can come into my room, and he kisses me on the cheek, and says, "Good night, Princess."

"Good night, my handsome prince," I say as I softly brush my hand through his hair. I softly peck him on the lips. Then, he leaves.

Oscar, Olly, Felix, and Omar come into my room, and they all say good night to me, too. Then, they leave.
