Wild Hearts Are All Over the World

Chapter 10

We walk to Indiana Jones Adventure. When we get there, we run in, and we quickly strap ourselves in because we're the first ones in line. The ride starts, and we quickly round the corner as a voice says, "Oh, uh...hello? My friends? The brakes may be needing a little adjustment...easy on the curve..."

"Uh-oh..." I whisper. Then, we round the corner, and we come upon a vault. We go up a little hill, and we see a giant gold statue head at the top. The lightning goes from blue to orange, and we go up another corner with a jerk, and suddenly we're in a volcano. There's another statue head, and it blasts something with a light that makes it blow up, which makes me jump a little.

Then, we round another corner, we see skeletons to the left of the car. I let out a little scream because we go down a hill. Then, at the bottom, the "headlights" flicker on, and I see a bunch of little insects crawling on the wall, which makes me shiver. It flickers off and, for a minute, we're in total darkness. Up ahead, I see a bridge, and we're about to cross it. We cross it, and I see two gargoyle statue heads lit up with green smoke.

We go around another corner, and I see a big fake cobra, it strikes at our car, Ross screams, and I bury my face into Ross's chest. Then, we go under a bridge, and we drop a little. Then, we're in the dark again. After that, we go around another corner, and I notice that there are pictures of skeleton warriors painted on the wall. We go around yet another corner, and we see Indiana hanging from a vine above us. We stop. "What now?" I whisper. I keep looking ahead. Then, I hear something rolling down, and I see a gigantic boulder rolling toward us. But, we roll down a hill, and get out of its way.

We go around another corner, and we see Indiana standing with a pile of rubble next to him. "Not bad...for tourists. Now, stay outta trouble, will ya?" He says. I laugh, and we get to the exit. We quickly get out of the car, and we leave to go to the Tower of Terror.

"You were soo scared," Ross says with a laugh.

"Was not! At least I don't have a girly scream," I say, laughing, too.

"Aye! I do not scream like a girl..." He whines defensively.

"Keep tellin' yourself that..." I mutter under my breath and I roll my eyes.

We finally get to the ride, and Ross says, "Shall we?"

"We shall," I say with a giggle, and we walk in.
