How We Met

Chapter 2. Malls & Boyfriends

Emily looks at me and smiles "What do you want to do today?" She asks.

It came to mind I really wasn't sure what I was gonna do today. I almost forgot I look at my phone and see 2 text messages from Julian.

Julian Text:

You still there?
I was wondering if you wanted to hang today?

I stare at my phone and then look up at Emily, she looks at me and asks "Is that Julian?" "Yea." I say without hesitation. She smiles more and giggles "We should all hang out today!" I look at her and laugh "I was gonna ask you that!" I say still laughing. She leaps towards me and starts tickling me. "AHHH!" I scream with laughter and I start to tickle her. We can't handle it anymore we are both on the floor laughing so hard it hurts. I pick up my phone and text Julian.

Yea I would love to is it ok if Emily comes too?

He quickly responds like he was waiting for my text
Emily is back?!?

I respond
Yep :) want to meet at the mall?

He texts as fast as he can
Yep that sounds great be there soon!

I look at Emily, "Want to go to the mall to meet Julian?"
She laughs "Of course we will take my car."
We walk downstairs and I go to my dads room. I knock on the door because I know I'm not allowed in his room. He opens the door a little bit, "Can I go to the mall with Emily?" I ask, He smiles and I knew that was a yes. I whisper "Thank you." I walk towards Emily and I see her smiling and I slip on my converse that I dropped. I make sure to lock the door on the way out and we walk towards her red jeep. "New car?" I ask. She smiles "I got it for my birthday." She says with the same smile. We hop in and she backs out of the driveway. She starts driving down the road and I look over to see a For Sale sign in front of my neighbors yard. "What the?" I mumble under my breath.

Emily looks at me in confusion, I look at her "Sorry" I say. She laughs "It's okay." We are pretty silent but I break the silence. "So.....anyone special?" All of the sudden I see her face light up and her cheeks start to blush a bright red. "Ooo Ems got a boyfriend!" She laughs at this and nods. I stare at her "Woah you actually have a boyfriend!" She nods slowly "Is everything okay?" I ask. "Yea and actually while you were texting Julian he said he is gonna meet us at the mall." "OMG!" I yell and she giggles "I get to meet Ems boyfriend!" The next thing you know we pull up into the malls parking lot and I see Julian by the front door waiting anxiously for us. I look over and see a boy with bleach blonde hair and he is one muscular guy, waiting by the door. I look at Emily and I ask "Is that him?"  She nods nervously. I thought today is gonna be a great day.  I walk up to Julian and give him a quick hug, I can feel his body heat it is actually quite calming. Then he lets go of me and looks over to see Emily talking to the blonde hair guy.
Julian whispers his warm breath in my ear, "Who is that?"
I respond quickly "That is Emily's boyfriend."

He glares at me "It is okay Julian, from what I have heard he is a really good guy." I whisper and finish it off with a wink. Julian laughs at me and I have to giggle along too. All of the sudden they are both headed towards us. Julian lets go of me and walks towards Emily and gives her a hug. He lets go and shakes her boyfriends hand and he says his name is James. He looks over at me and shakes my hand we introduce each other and start to walk into the mall. "Oh my god!" I screech. Emily realizes what store my eyes are nailed on. I don't even bother what they are saying to me I just walk into the American Eagle anyway. My eyes directly turn to the crop top sitting on the rack. I look back to see Julian following me and Emily and James in the other side of the store. I see the shorts underneath the crop stop and I screech. Thinking it's perfect. I feel a warm breath down my neck to see Julian looking at the outfit I'm looking at. He says through his perfect lips. "That would look adorable on you." I start to blush "Thanks" I say. Thanks? All I could say is thanks and how is it that his lips are perfect. I am confused on my own words.
