Chapter 5:
Time for some LYDandANG!
Angie's POV
"Hey, what are you doing?" I turned around as Lydia walked into my room.
"Oh, nothing...just packing for New York." I smiled.
Lydia's eyes went wide and she smiled widely. "You're going to audition?! Oh my Gosh!"
I laughed. "Yeah, I told my mom and dad this morning."
Lydia squealed and clapped her hands. "You're going to be famous, and you're going to be on TV, and-" She abruptly stopped.
"What?" I asked concerned.
"People are going to see our LYDandANG channel. Thousands of people." She had a haunted look on her face.
I put my hands on her shoulders. "Lyd, I haven't even auditioned yet. Don't you think you're getting ahead of yourself a little bit?" I smiled.
She scoffed. "You are amazing, and you will win!"
I dropped my hands. "Thanks. I'm nervous though. This is my dream!"
I sat on my bed, and Lydia sat next to me. "What does Jared think? Have you told him yet?"
I shrugged. "He hasn't text me back the last couple days. I haven't told him yet."
Lydia's jaw dropped. "Excuse me, but did you just say days?"
"Yeah, he's been busy on tour, I understand that." I lifted a shirt and put it in a different pile. "What heals should I wear?"
"Oh no, you're not changing the subject that easy. You're okay that you haven't talked in a couple days?"
I sighed. "Yeah, I mean it's not that big of a deal. I trust him, he will text me when he's not rockin' the world."
My phone vibrated on my bed. I picked it up, and read the lock screen.
Austin: Hey, what are you up to?-2:06pm
I will answer him later. I put my phone into my pocket, and looked at Lydia.
She had her eyebrow raised and was giving me the yeah-I-know-you-just-got-a-text-and-didn't-answer look. "And who was that?"
"No one." I said casually.
"Oh it was defiantly someone." I shrugged. "Maybe the person you've been texting the last couple days?"
I looked up from my clothes. "What person?"
"I don't know that's what I'm asking you." Lydia put her hands on her hips, and smiled. "Wouldn't be a certain hot-shot basketball player now would it?"
"What no!" I scoffed. "Why would I be talking to him?"
"Oh I don't know maybe because you hung out with him instead of me the other night." She teased. "Oh and because he's hot. I mean I completely understand!"
I pushed her shoulder. "Will you stop!" I laughed, "and he wasn't hot!"
"Okay Ang, I know you're blind and everything, but you had your contacts in so I know you were seeing what I was seeing!" Lydia smirked at me.
"Wait how did you know he plays basketball?" I questioned.
She frowned for a minute. Then looked sheepish. "I may have done some facebook stalking."
"How? Austin's profile is completely private. Are you guys friends?" Why would he accept Lydia's request but not mine. He did act weird the other night at the party, maybe he just didn't want to accept my request.
