"Fliss?" She repeated looking at me questionably.
"Yeah that's what I'm gonna call you!? I said as I tried to look happy, giving her a smirk.
"I'm alright with that, I've never had a nickname before." Felicity admitted.
"Not even as a kid? No embarrassing nickname?" I asked surprised.
"Nope, none." Fliss answered truthfully.
We sat there in silence for a while. It wasn't awkward just comfortable. I was sitting on the armchair in the corner of my room, and she was sitting on the armrest of it, applying pressure to my cuts.
"Well I think we should go paint because that's what we came here for." I thought aloud, " Hold up though." I grabbed my favorite green long sleeved sweater, and put it on over the t-shirt I was wearing. It was quite cold for February, even in Canada. They were reaching record breaking lows this winter.
As I straightened out my sweater, I saw Fliss glaring at me. Maybe I shouldn't question her, but she's still looking at me.
"W-what?" I asked as I glanced down at the sweater http://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/129522089/vintage-90s-orvis-cable-knit-green?ref=shop_home_active
"Nothing Justin." She stated, and then started walking out of my room.
Fliss lead the way up the stairs, and into the studio at the end of the hallway.
"So lets get to it!" She squealed.
"Someone's excited." I replied sarcastically.
"Well I'm excited not to fail." Fliss replied sincerely
I got the supplies out, and started showing her the basics. I told her the names and styles of the brushes and strokes. I taught her the basic techniques of painting. She picked up on it, but her paintings still need a lot of work.
"I'm impressed." I stated.
"Why, I'm horrible!" Fliss exclaimed.
"You picked up on it well." I complimented.
Ending the conversation I walked out into the hallway and to the upstairs family room on the right. I guess maybe she could stay longer, and play chess or something. I heard her footsteps behind me.
"What's up?" Fliss asked.
"That's enough painting for today, w-wanna stay and like play chess?" I replied nervously.
"That sounds like fun." She stated. It looked as if her face had a disapproving expression, but I really couldn't tell.
"Or if you have to go, I understand. It's a school night. And almost 8:00." I informed.
"No I like spending time with you, and all my homework is done." Fliss smiled.
"C-cool. Want to grab the board for me? it's the box on top of the stack by the movies."
"Sure thing." Fliss responded.
She walked over to get it. Wow I can't believe I'm hanging out with a girl as beautiful as she is. She is stunning to look at, and the sway in her hips as she walks doesn't help me stop staring.
"Oh my gosh Toy Story!!" She squeals as she picks the movie from the stack.
"Can we just watch this instead!?" She made a puppy dog face, with some of her brown curls falling out of her messy bun from jumping for joy.
"Might as well." I replied. And with that I grabbed the movie from her hold, our hands grazing in the process.
