Once we have all of our luggage, we make our way out of the airport. My dad has arranged to have someone drive us to our new flat, and he bought three cars for us to use the next two months. The cars will be delivered tomorrow morning. As the driver pulls away from the airport, I almost yell at him because he is driving on the wrong side of the road, but then I remember “We are going to have to get used to driving on the left side of the road” I nervously tell Amber. She has a look of shock on her face, which doesn’t surprise me. Amber always forgets obvious stuff, but me? I never forget stuff like that! The only excuse I can think of is that we were so rushed getting here. We arrived at our new flat in about 30 minutes, at about 4:00am. We rushed into the flat anxious to see what was in store for us! We walk in and it is huge! It has a huge living room, connecting to the kitchen. The flat is decorated pretty modern, so it is mainly white with a little black and white pattern and pops of bright colors. I decide to call this the great room, my favorite part of it being the huge window with a gorgeous city view. Off of the great room there is a smaller, reading room to the right, which is connected by double doors and also has a great view. There is also a dining room off to the right. On the left of the room there is a hallway. On the left off the hall way is a huge laundry room and a powder room. On the right is a gorgeous guest room with a connecting bath and a view. After looking through the downstairs we raced upstairs overwhelmed with excitement. There were four doors. One had my monogram on it in pink and one had Amber’s monogram on it in a tiffany blue. I ran into my room as amber ran into hers. Ilooked around amazed. I thought I would miss my room back at home so much but with this room?! I love it even more than my own bedroom back in Georgia! It is still modern but it’s warmer than the rest of the house the bed is a tope and white with neutral patterns and pops of fuschia, citrus, and a little blue. I absolutely love it! It’s so me! There’s also a sitting area with a gorgeous couch and a mirrored coffee table, covered in magazines! Of course it has an amazing view and heavy, fuschia draperies to block out the sun so it wont wake me up. After I was done admiring my room I ran into the closet. It’s not quite as big as mine at home but its fabulous! Perfect for the next two months! My bathroom is next, one part of the bathroom has all pink walls and the next part is sleek black and white, I ADORE IT! Amber and I remembered each others rooms at the same time nearly running into each other as I ran tp her room and she ran to mine. Her room was a mirror image of mine except her room had pops of blues, citrus, and a little pink. The rooms fit us perfectly. There were still a few more rooms upstairs that we searched through together. One was a media room which was possibly the coolest home theatre I have ever seen. Next was a play room with walls of games. Every game you could ever imagine was there! And the 3rd was another guest bedroom, following the theme of the house. After we searched through every room, we got our driver to help carry our luggage up to our rooms. Once he was finished, we thanked him and tipped him generously. By the time he left it was 5:00 am and WE NEEDED SLEEP! Before I climbed into my luxurious new bed, I took a super speedy shower! I can’t sleep until I get one, unlike amber who was already fast asleep in her bed. I made sure to plug up my phone and close my curtains before falling asleep (at sunrise might I add).
