The boys, crowded around me, looked completely distraught. Niall was silently crying while the others were fighting back the tears. The nurse opened a door on the right side of the hallway, laying before me was Brooke’s broken body. She was covered in various cuts and bruises, including a black eye, and her leg was in a cast, propped up on some pillows. “She has a severe concussion, a broken leg in three places, and a few cracked ribs. She should wake up soon, she probably won’t be able to get much sleep because of the concussion, so it’s important not to wake her up while she is asleep” she said walking out of the room.

            “Uh miss” Niall interrupted.

She turned around “Yes sir? Is there anything else I can do for you?”

“When will we be able to see Amber?” he asked, worry falling over his face.

“I’m not sure yet, you will have to talk to the doctor about that” she turned back around and walked out.

I made my way around the bed to Brooke’s side that wasn’t attached to various chords and machines. I knelt down by the bed taking her small hand in mine, tears flowing down my cheeks faster and faster. About 5 minutes past before I heard a soft voice crack out “don’t cry baby, I told you I’m tough” she smiled down at me. I couldn’t help myself I wrapped my arms around her fragile body, embracing her and never wanting to let go. “Ahhhh” she whined.

“Aw baby I’m so sorry I forgot” I said retracting my arms and setting her back down slowly.

“Um forgot what?” She asked confused.

“Well” Liam piped in, I had totally forgotten about the lads “You were in a car crash, the nurse said they think you had a seizure while driving” he explained sincerely.

Her face went white, fear filling her eyes. “And?” she asked afraid about what might come next.

“Well you’re going to be okay love. You have a concussion, a few broken ribs, various cuts and bruises, a very frightening black eye” we laughed a little, as did Brooke “and your broke your left leg in three different places”.

Her face calmed only for a split second “Amber! WHAT ABOUT AMBER?!” she cried.

“Well sweetheart, the crash was a bit worse for her. They haven’t really told us much, but she is still unconcious and they moved her to a different area of the hospital for better care bu-” She burst into tears before I could finish.

Ignoring all of her bruises, cuts, casts, ribs, and chords, I wrapped my arms around her, hugging her tightly. I couldn’t resist, and I knew this is what she truly needed. She needed to be loved, she needed to be hugged and never let go of, she needed me. “Um guys” I cleared my throat “would you mind giving us a moment?”they nodded and exited through the heavy hospital door. After a couple minutes she calmed down and was no longer gasping for air. “It’s best to get it out, you know that” I told her in a sooting voice.

“She… she could die Harry!” she started up again.

“Shhhhh… shhhhh… It’s goin to be alright love” I whispered.
