I looked back watching her walk out the doors of the restaurant. She wiped her eyes and mine followed her body as she headed to her car. I could tell she was still crying because her body shook and her eyes were bloodshot.

I shook my head feeling some type of way. I never let these females get the best of me but with her, I couldn't help it. She brought out a side of me that I can't explain.

Not only did she have me in love, she had me stuck in this moment. I didn't know what to do. My feet and body was stuck and all I could do was stare.

She sat Her curvaceous body in the drivers seat and wiped her eyes again. She then looked up and out eyes met, but only for a moment.

Seeing the hurt in her face was hurting me because I had done all the damage possible to her. Not only did I cheat, I got a girl that I never wanted to have my baby, pregnant. It was supposed to be her, why wasn't it her?

Nicki.

Present Day
November 3rd
LaGuardia High School

"Shit, that party Zeon threw Saturday was live as shit. Right Meek?" Dre asked me, turning my direction in his seat.

I looked up from my paper that had me confused since class started. 30 problems of some bullshit I knew nothing about. Physics was never my subject. Come to think of it, nothing really was.

It was like looking at a board with magnetic letters scrambled around and you had to guess the words. Shit was confusing.

"Meek!" Dre yelled again, slamming his hard palm against the wooden desk.

"Huh?" I asked, taken aback.

"You trippin, man. I asked you a question." Dre repeated.

"Oh..wassup?" I asked him, moving the paper out my way so that it wouldn't get my attention anymore.

Dre shook his head, "I said: Zeon's party was live as shit, right?" He repeated for a second time today.

I nodded my head up, "oh yeah. No doubt it was. Bitches everywhere. Ass everywhere. Shit was lit." I broke into a smile when he began laughing.

"Hell yeah! That nigga know how to throw a party. He need to do a part two this weekend." Dre said to Omar who was sitting diagonal from him.

"If he do, let me know. I'm tryin' to fuck some bitches." Omar laughed and Dre agreed as the amusingly dapped up in agreement.

I shook my head as the last bell rung. The teacher walked in with her papers and sets of keys.

"Goodmorning, Class." She said as she leaned her back against the medium heightened desk.

'Goodmornings' were recited back lazily. She giggled and proceeded.

"Before we start out lesson for today, I have someone I want you all to meet." Mrs. Riley smiled and waved to someone outside the door.

"You all probably know her, but this is..Onika." The petit girl stood next to Mrs. Riley shyly.

I looked her over. Her body was nice, but the way she dressed and those glasses had to go. She wasn't my type though. I don't like my females shy.

"Ain't that, that real smart bitch from French?" Dre asked me, slightly leaning over.

"Yeah, that's her." I never took my eyes off. I chuckled a bit. I realized I had been looking too long and looked away.

Mrs. Riley continued. "She's the class tutor. Onika has nicely decided to donate her time to help anyone who happens to be struggling in this class."

I raised my eyebrow. God knows I'm struggling and that I need help. But I would never admit that. Plus, I don't need to be seen with her. My reputation is way too important.

"Come see me after the bell if your interested. I'll get you all set up. But for now, all of you get out your Physics workbook."

The class groaned. Mrs. Riley looked back at us with a stern look. "That's enough! Now turn to page 456. Daniel, you can begin reading the instruction."

The bell rung and every one stood to exit the class. I followed Dre as he made his way to put the door along with Omar.

They walked out but I was stopped by a voice.
"Hold on, Robert."

I gripped my backpack strap and huffed. I licked my lips and turned around to see Onika and Mrs. Riley looking up at me.

Onika stared and I caught her gaze, that soon ended when Mrs. Riley began speaking.

"I know you don't think you're leaving when you haven't turned in any work in two weeks."
Mrs. Riley said with her hands interlocked as they sat on top of her desk.

I looked over at Onika with an embarrassed expression. She looked away and the atmosphere became awkward.

"I- uh..."

"No, listen. I let this go for too long. That's why I called you after." .." I want you to start working with Onika on your school work. She said she's happy to help." Mrs. Riley said with a smile.

"Right, Onika?"

Onika looked up nervously. "Yes." She nodded shyly.

"Good. Now you two figure out what days and hours. I have a meeting to attend." Mrs. Riley stood to leave.

I smacked my teeth, "Man, I don't need this."

"If you don't do this, you will not walk across that stage. Listen to me. Kathy doesn't know, but I'm a few seconds away from calling her." Mrs. Riley threatened and I smacked my teeth.

"Alright, man." I cleared my throat.

"Exchange numbers. I expect these grades to go up. Don't disappoint me." And with that, Mrs. Riley walked out.

I ran my free hand over my waves and sighed. I looked down at Nicki who was sitting there quietly.

"So what now?" I asked her.

She stood. I looked her over, realizing how small she really is.

"H-here's my number. Call me before Saturday so we can me up." She slid the torn piece of white paper over to me and grabbed her purse. She bumped past me and walked out.

I looked at the neatly written numbers on the paper. She might be the only hope I have in graduating left. I was fucking up bad and I can't deny, I need help.

I grabbed the paper and placed it in my pants pocket. I walked out the room as the next period bell rang.
