4/4 2 🙏🏾🔥🔥🔥
Meek"Aight, Meek. I'm gone, man." Dre said as our streets became separated. This was the time we dapped up and went out separate ways for the day.
"Aight. I'll hit you up tomorrow nigga." We dapped up and he jogged across the road and down some ways before I could no longer see him.
I kept walking until I was in front of the white 3 bedroom house on the corner. I walked on the concrete walkway until I reached the door.
I opened it and walked in. The front of the house was empty so I dropped my backpack by the door.
I walked towards the kitchen and ducked my head into the fridge, looking for something to eat.I jumped when I heard a voice.
"Meek, get out the fridge!" Na yelled as she approached me. She leaned against the counter top with her arms crossed."The fuck, Na!" I exclaimed and wiped the wasted milk from my lip.
"Boy, please." She fanned her hand at me. "You know ma don't like you drinking from the carton anyway."
"She not here." I shrugged and closed the fridge door, leaning against it, looking at Na.
Na shook her head. "Wassup with you? You been acting out for weeks now."
She said to me."Acting out how, Na? I'm good."
"I never told you but Ma been stressing because of you. She doesn't sleep at night." Na continued.
"You slackin off in school, Meek. You running around with this nothing ass niggas like shit is cool!"
I shook my head and clenched my jaw, "man, Na. Get away from me with that. We gone be good. I always make sure of that." I said back angrily.
"Get a job! Don't be out here on the streets selling drugs. You can make that same money legally. The last thing momma needs to hear is that her only son is in jail. That'll kill her." ..."you want that?" She asked me.
"No." I shook my head and sighed.
"Then get your shit straight." As soon as Na said that, Ma walked through the door.
She looked tired and worn out from endless hours of working. This is why I do what I do. Yeah, I'm still in school but I gotta do what I gotta do. Ever since my father died, I've been the man of the family.
"What was that, Na?" She asked referring to what she heard Na say.
Na looked quickly and shook her head. "Nothin, Ma."
Kathy sat her things down on the small dining table and sat down tiredly.
"Na, you cooked?" She asked her.
"Yeah, Ma." ..."want me to fix you a plate?" Na asked.
"Yes but not now. Rihmeek, let me talk to you." ..."Na go upstairs for a minute."
Na nodded and quickly left us alone. I stood quietly as Ma sat at the table. She looked as if she was collecting her thoughts. I had no Idea of what she could be trying to tell me.
