I want you to meet Antonia (Ant-tonia) or Ant
She has depression
And she's scared of everything
And she needs me to help her
This is our story
"DON'T DO IT!" I yelled, I watched Ant but a knife to her neck.
It was too late...
I woke up
I was drenched in sweat, "just a dream" I said as I got up and grabbed my clothes, sweatshirt, and shoes.
I walked downstairs, first day of summer I thought
I grabbed my cereal and grabbed the phone.
I called Ant, she answered and we started talking.
"Hey" I said.
"Wassup" she replied.
"Cereal, you?"
"Meditation"
"Demons?" I asked with a sad sigh.
"Yea"
"I wish they would leave you alone."
Ant has demons in her head and she gets them out by meditating. She showed me once but it was kinda boring.
Ant was my best friend and we did everything together, she was a small brown haired girl with beautiful purple eyes. We were both 16 me being 2 months older.
I won't lie. I love her. And she knows that but we're not dating. She's to fragile to handle it.
"Hey" I said. "You wanna hit the pond?"
"Hell yea!" She yelled.
"Cool, I'll come over."
I hung up and ran to get changed.
•One Hour Later•
I rung Ant's doorbell.
She opened the door and gave me a squeeze. She loved seeing me considering she dropped out of school because of bullying. I wanted to too but my parents disagreed.
We grabbed our bikes and pedaled down a long quiet road into the forest. We rode until we came up to a nice little pond we call Elizabeth. Named after Ant's dead dog. I remember that day like yesterday. She cried here in my chest as I wrapped my arms around her. She decided that this should be our hang out. I agreed and we called the pond Elizabeth.
We sat down and ate sandwiches. We laughed as we cracked jokes and talked.
Then we packed up she got sad. I freaked out because this could be bad.
"I'm going to miss you" she squeaked through tears.
She wrapped her arms around me.
"Hey, don't worry, I'll see you everyday, I promise." I said.
She squeezed me and after a couple of seconds let go.
We grabbed our bikes and I was getting ready to ride when Ant tapped me on the shoulder and as I turned around placed her soft lips on mine.
I was shocked but I closed my eyes as I put my hands on her waist. She pulled away as my eyes were still closed.
I opened my eyes and saw her ride her bike deeper into the woods.
I was frozen with surprise but I snapped out of it and chased her
Where was she going? Was all I could think.
