Chapter 6

I looked at Cas. She had that wow look on her face. I guess she never thought of Evan liking her. I stood up and cracked my knuckles. The blood had washed away yet I felt it stain me, something I'll never wash away.
The flashback of Cad yelling at me, calling me a monster. I looked around to see where we would start heading. But then my phone rang.
It was Ant!
"ANT!" I screamed.
Cas and Zeke perked up.
"Ryan..."
She sounded hungry and scared.
"Where are you!?" I asked beginning to cry.
"I don't know... Near a lake... I'm scared." She started to cry.
"I'm coming Ant, now turn your phone off, save your battery, we are coming with food and water."
"Ok, please come." She hung up.
I ran, I didn't care where but I ran, faster then ever. I didn't care for Evan or my hunger. Ant was the most important person to me and I had to save her. But as I ran, I tripped. I tumbled forward. I felt my leg crack weirdly but I didn't care.
I kept running until I felt my leg move to the left. I fell and saw my leg out of place. I quickly popped it back in and tried to keep running but Zeke pinned me to the ground.
He told me to stay and I needed to rest. So we set up camp, again. As I sat on one side, Zeke and Cas were on the other.
"Well this is nice." I said sarcastically.
"Yea I guess," shrugged Zeke.
Then Cas shivered and Zeke put his arm around her. Cas cuddled into Zeke's chest and she looked up. And for the first time, something I've never thought of.
Zeke leaned in
And they kissed...
