I woke up the next morning. We walked for awhile until Evan came up to me. "Hey, can you like back off Cas please." He said.
"What do you mean?" I asked so confused.
"Like, she's mine."
I laughed. This was gold. "I don't know mate, she's pretty fine."
He swelled up in anger. And boy did he pounce when I made the hump motion. He pushed me, I tripped over a log but hopped up quickly.
"Your mistake" I said as I shrugged. I hooked him in the face. He falled backwards as I saw blood coming out of Evan's nose. Cas ran to me and pulled me. I pushed her out of the way as Evan got up. He swung and missed, I countered with an uppercut. I was an ex boxer. I knew what I was doing.
Man I haven't beaten a kid up this bad sense the tournament 2 years ago, last one until I left because of my dad getting ill which lead to his death one week later.
I looked over to Cas, she looked scared. I had forgotten that I shoved her. Cadel ran over and grabbed my arm and pinned me to a tree while Zeke got Evan.
Evan was bleeding badly. He turned to Cas.
"Come with me." He said.
Cas slowly shook her head.
"Ok" he said. He ran back the way we came.
"Let him go," I said.
Cas looked at me and cried. "You monster!" She yelled.
I looked at her, then my hands. The blood on them. I'm a monster. I began to cry. I bent down on my knees. My hands over my face. I looked at Cas who was in Zeke's arms. Then to Cadel, staring blankly at me. Like I was a killer. I am I thought. I failed you Ant... I failed you. I looked to the sky. What have I become, what do I do?
