Home.

I've been lost for as long as I can remember searching for home.

My memories have been hidden in the dark. My life casted in the darkness.

My past is a complete blur smothered by dark figures.

All I've seen is darkness.

But would that ever change?

*******************************

My legs wobbled as I limped forward. My breath shaky with anticipation.

I felt my blood pounding as Damien lead me out of the room and down a dark hall.

Several doors lined up the walls on either side. Each door wooden with a golden knob.

A cool draft suddenly hit my bare skin, causing my body to involuntarily shiver. A chill slivered down my spine, creating goosebumps to spread along my arms.

I instinctively looked over my shoulder. My eyes met nothing but pitch black. The hallway appeared empty, but I could feel something lurking in the dark.

With a last paranoid glance, I averted my gaze forward.

My eyes landed on Damien, my gaze burning through him. I admired the movement of his back muscles. The smooth curves flexed as his torso slightly twisted with every step.

A scar on his lower back caught my attention. I squinted, observing the scar closely.

It was slightly slanted towards the left, running jaggedly across his skin. It looked like it had been painful.

Before I knew it, we had entered a different part of the home. I slowed my pace before stopping in my tracks completely.

A candle placed on a glass table casted a soft glow, allowing me to see the room. It was warm, inviting.

Almost familiar.

"Serafine."

Damien's voice snapped me back into reality, my eyes instantly finding his.

His brows were furrowed. His green eyes confused.

Those eyes where I lost myself completely.

I watched nothing but his lips move as he spoke.

"What is it?" He asked softly.

I tore my eyes away from him, ignoring his question.

My breathing became harsher. My body shivering.

I glanced around the room with wide eyes, realization hitting me.

I couldn't keep down the questions that threatened to escape my mouth any longer.

"W-what's going to happen to me? Where are you taking me? Are you going to k-kill me?" My words were rushed, messy, filled with fear.

My chest constricted at the thought.

What are they going to do with me?

I'm a rogue. I'm a threat.

I don't belong.

Yes you do, my wolf cried.

In a matter of seconds, his tall frame was standing over mine. I gasped at the proximity. I could feel the heat radiating from him.

His chest was inches from mine.

His lips inches from mine.

I suddenly felt light headed as I breathed in his sweet, musky scent.
