Okay I know the captions catchy but I didn't actually fly or something but here's a story about God's amazing provision...
It was during my sister's wedding in India and as her only brother she wants me to attend her wedding but since we are both missionaries...well you can say that we are not rich and can't afford airfare tickets for the both of us.
We prayed everyday until the day before the day of travel. For me to be able to pass through Immigration, I must have all my four tickets for them to let me get out of the country (Manila-Singapore, Singapore-India and the two return tickets)
So far, our day of travel is the next day already and I am left with only having my Manila to Singapore ticket.
Wondering if I will be able to join with my sister, I sat on one corner, read my Bible and prayed.
I asked God if whether I will be able to go to India. There was silence until an airplane flew over us. (I was at Antipolo by that time) and I got an impression that God was saying YES to me. So I was at peace and slept early that day. Not worrying that tomorrow is the day of our travel and I need three more tickets.
When I woke up the next day, my sister approached me and told me the good news that I have two of my tickets and is left with one more ticket. I didn't know what happened next but certainly we were able to book for my other ticket. Where did the money came from? That I didn't know.
That was like eleven in the morning and our flight's schedule is 12:45. My sister asked me to check my email if the ticket has already been sent to my email. I checked and there's no email. We need to go now...we then decided to just go ahead and drop by at a internet cafe somewhere and have it printed. and so we did...
Finally, it arrived and that was 11:30...now what? We were still in Antipolo and NAIA is far..far..away...Yes we got out ticket and will miss our flight?
While sitting inside the cab...I was praying to God and got reminded of God's impression to me the other day...He said I'll get to ride the plane...and so I prayed
"Lord, if you can delay the flight please do it"
Amazingly, we arrived at NAIA by 12....We still have time but we still prayed silently for favor. We immediately carried our luggage and ran...and there was no other passengers lining up at the counter...We got checked in easily...We pass through immigration and they didn't asked us a lot of questions...We've done all the process in no time...We we're on time...We got time to spare when they announced that our flight is being delayed for 30 minutes...I laughed...We don't need our flight to be delayed because we we're on time yet God answered my prayer...
-------------------------------
After the wedding, I was to travel alone going home...I don't have money and so I prayed again...
I enumerated specifically what I needed. I'll need to pay for my luggage for my flight from Singapore to Manila. I needed money for cab, bus fare, PASALUBONG etc. I enumerated it all.
Amazingly, One friend of my mom in Singapore gave me 200 Singapore Dollars when we met. I now have money! Yeay!
THE DAY OF MY TRAVEL...
I approached the counter and asked how much will I pay for my baggage and she said an amount more than what I have so I resorted in organizing my stuff...trying to figure out how I can lessen my baggage's weight by putting some on my handcarry. While doing it, someone talked to me. I turned to her and she was an elderly woman with her son and daughter. She offered me their purchased baggage allowance. and so I didn't need to pay for my baggage. I got it for free. The money I should have used in paying for my baggage , i used it to buy pasalubong for my friends.
I was left with enough money to pay for taxi fare and bus fare in the Philippines and amazingly I was left with 2000 pesos upon arriving at our house.
I left without money and yet God provided more that what I prayed for...
