During my training as a missionary in Mindanao, there was this situation where I only have a peso left on my wallet. I don't have any money left for me to buy even a single piece of laundry soap for me to wash my clothes for the week.
Self-pity overcame me as I saw my classmates already through with their laundry. Mine? They are stored on my room still unsure if I'll be able to wash it that day...
Later that afternoon, we were assigned to clean one of the many houses inside our base (There are like 28 wooden houses and only 4 or 5 were being used at that time).
While sweeping the floor, I couldn't help myself but cry, pitying how I am not able to buy even just a stick of laundry soap which costs 5 to 7 pesos. I cried to the Lord praying for answer...
Minutes past and one of my classmate came out from the bathroom holding a soap dish with two big chunks of used laundry soap. She took one and gave me the other.
I was thankful for God's provision...
One thing I learned is to trust God on what I need and to be thankful even in the slightest provision I receive...
God bless everyone!
