Beep! Beep! Beep! My alarm seemed so loud. It was the first day of ninth grade and I was already dreading it, but it took me a little bit to realize I have already hit the snooze button twice. I hurried off to get ready and I barely made it to my brother's car before he left me. I arrived at school and walked sleepily into the cafeteria to sit down by my friends. Amanda was the first to notice the gloomy expression on my face. "Why the glum face?" she asked sarcastically. "The summer has gone by to fast," I replied. "I can agree with that," said Hallie.
As the long day went on and on, I seemed to become more bored every class. I eventually ended up having a ton of homework at the end of the day. When I arrived at home my mom asked, "How was the first day of school honey?" I gave her my usual answer and said, "Fine." I finally finished my homework at 10:00. Then I went to bed, but I couldn't seem to fall asleep.
