A quiet night. Almost perfect. Not a single noise to be heard for miles. Well, maybe except for Papyrus' comical snoring and Mettaton's gears silently turning. The pleasure from earlier was still racing through him, giving him a sort of tingling sensation mostly on his back. Mettaton had to resist the strong urge to squirm around in bed. He didn't want to wake his no longer innocent lover Papyrus. However, he still occasionally kissed the skeleton's forehead to send him a slight "I love you" message.

The peaceful atmosphere was suddenly disrupted by the cries of a child. No, a baby. A human baby.

As if sleeping that night was tough enough, the crying only made things worse for a specific robot. He couldn't stand it anymore. Carefully arising from the bed, Mettaton cleaned himself up a bit, and tiptoed out of the bedroom, closing the door very slowly and quietly.

As he began silently proceeding to Frisk's room, he glanced down to the main floor, noticing that the TV was still on. It was playing the tune that plays on his Game Show collection DVD selection screen. Papyrus must've forgotten to turn both the TV and the DVD player when he came upstairs. Now the short tune is stuck on an endless loop.

Mettaton approached Frisk's door, opening it slightly and peering in. Frisk was in there throwing a mini fit, sobbing and screaming her heart out. Mettaton's ears were sensitive at this moment, since he technically just woke up. This outburst would be like fork on a chalkboard to him. He walked into the room and shut the door behind him, making sure that Frisk doesn't wake Papyrus.

"H-Hello dearie...um, what's the matter?" Mettaton asked the baby, soon realizing that Frisk can't understand words yet. He facepalmed, almost a little too loudly.

Frisk stopped for a minute, but then went back to her outbursts. Mettaton had no idea how to calm the child down. She's normally very well behaved...and not very emotional or expressive. This is also Mettaton's first human child, or just child in general. Being a parent was definitely a challenge for him.

The robot placed his cold, metal hands on Frisk's forehead. No fever. Her breathing seemed fine. Nothing wrong there. Oh, what could be wrong?

"Darling, did you have a nightmare?" He whispered, looking a bit worried.

Frisk calmed down a lot, but still kept whimpering and squirming. She couldn't tell him what was wrong. Heck, she didn't really know what was wrong herself. After all, she is a baby. Whatever was wrong, her mind was too young to know.

Mettaton sighed and eventually gave up. He marched out of the nursery and into his bedroom. Trying not to wake Papyrus, he slid into the chair that was under a small desk, which happened to be holding up Papyrus' computer.

At the password screen, he typed in "SPAGHETTI". He was in.

He opened the Internet browser and began searching for clues. Unfortunately, this computer was hooked up to the human-world's web and the underground's web. So anything Mettaton typed, results from both webs popped up.

/~TIME SKIP BECAUSE I DON'T THINK YOU WANT TO SEE MTT SEARCH USELESS QUESTIONS AND GET USELESS ANSWERS~/

After about an hour of searching for a result, and apparently finding information about human anatomy and functions, he found a solution.
