AMORY'S POV:

"You were my conscience, so solid now you're like water," I sang softly.

We were performing our song, 'Monster' to our manager Elizabeth as she recorded us. It was pretty nerve-racking because she wouldn't tell us why she was taping, just that it was really important.

"I'll stop the whole world, I'll stop the whole world from turning into a monster and eating us alive," I belted out the lyrics of the chorus, smiling at Riley who was head banging along to the song. "Don't you ever wonder how we survive?"

I couldn't bring myself to look up at the camera, I was too nervous to even do that. The way Elizabeth had described this performance it sounded like it could make or break our career and we really needed to get our band out there.

"I'm only human," I continued. "I've got a skeleton in me."

My heart was pounding, but my voice didn't waver for the second verse, luckily. Riley and Violette joined in the last chorus with me as we all poured our heart and soul into the song, as if Elizabeth wasn't even there.

"Now that you're gone, the world is ours," I sang, closing the song.

We all grinned at each other as Elizabeth clapped loudly, laughing at me when I let out a sigh of relief. Whatever that video was for, I really, really hoped it was gonna get us somewhere. We'd been a garage-band for far too long.

Violette walked over to me and gave me a side hug, my head at her shoulder. Vi was really tall.

"Nice work, Am," she said, giving me a warm smile.

"Thanks," I replied, laughing nervously. "Do you think that has something to do with the video?"

I nodded towards Elizabeth, who was pacing back and forth at the end of Bree's garage, whispering to someone on her phone.

"I really hope so," Riley inputted, sitting down on an amp and picking at her nails. "I think we're ready for places out of Bree's garage."

"Hey!" Bree whined, pouting. "What's wrong with my garage?"

Vi chuckled beside me. "Nothing, Bree. We just-"

Violette was cut off by Elizabeth, who came running over to us with a huge grin across her face. "Guess what?"

"Gosh, I hate it when people say that," Bree groaned.

"I just live streamed your performance to 5 Seconds Of Summer's Manager!" She squealed.

We all looked at her in shock, our mouths open. My favorite bands' manager just saw us perform!

"Oh my gosh," I yelled, jumping up and down with Vi. "What did they say?!?!"

She let out another high-pitched shriek of joy. "You're their opening act for their Sounds Live Feels Live tour!"

And that's when we completely lost it. We started jumping up and down in a group hug, letting Elizabeth in as well obviously. I couldn't wipe the delighted expression off my face. We were going to be performing to hundreds of people! This is what I'd been waiting for my whole life!

"When does it start?" Bree asked, in a surprisingly high voice.

Elizabeth was still smiling at us, one of those wise, proud smiles. We were so lucky to have her as our manager. In fact, we only had her because she was best friends with Riley's mum and she thought we had sheer talent.

"It starts in two weeks!" She said. "First stop: Japan!"

This was it!

LUKE'S POV:

"Julie, what do you want now?" I asked our manager over the phone. "Okay, okay we're coming."

I jumped off the hotel bed and yelled for Michael.

'What do you want, Luke?" He screamed. "I'm beating Calum at Fifa. Gosh, you're so rude!"

Ashton appeared next to me, sweat running down his face. He must've been at the gym.

"Julie wants us," I said, sighing. "Apparently she has some news."

After dragging Michael and Calum off the couch, we were all on our way to the lobby to meet Julie, who was awaiting us with her signature frown on her face.

"Where have you been?" She screeched. "I told you to be down here at least ten minutes ago!"

We glanced at each other and then back at our furious Manager, shrugging. Julie ushered for us to sit down opposite her as she worked away on her laptop. I was beginning  to get confused, why did we have to come down here to watch her work?

"Ugh where is the bloody video?" She yelled. "Wait, never mind, I've found it."

She turned her laptop around to show us her screen. An image of four girls came up. She pressed play,   helping me to figure out that the lead singer was the blonde in the front and she was really, really good. They must've been singing an original song because I hadn't heard it before.

There was a girl with a snapback on in the back playing the drums, a girl with bright orange hair smashing her guitar solos, the blonde lead and then a tall girl with dark hair on the bass. They were all quite attractive, I had to admit. But the lead singer's voice was the most mesmerizing thing ever.

Once the video had finished, Julie beamed at us, shutting the laptop screen slowly.

"They're really good, hey?" She asked us.

"Yeah," we all chorused.

She smiled again, confusing me. "Well, they're your opening act for the Sounds Live Feels Live tour!"

I smiled, saying, "cool, they're really good. But it's like a week and a bit before the show, Julie. We don't have another tour bus."

"Yeah, do they have their own or something?" Michael asked, pushing his blue hair out of his face.

Julie shook her head. "One tour bus guys. You've all gotta share."

"Wait, what?" Cal questioned.

Julie didn't look up from what she was now doing on her computer, just saying, "yep, I'm afraid so."

"But they're girls," Ashton whined.

"So?" Julie snapped, getting tense. "They're coming here in a week from New Zealand, from here you'll all fly to Japan. Good? Good."

We all sighed, nodding. I was fine with these girls coming along, I mean they were really talented and I could use company other than the three idiots who were now seeing how many of the hotel lobby's peppermints they could fit in their mouths.

After Julie had yelled at them and sent us all into the elevators, all I could hear in my head was that girl's voice: "Don't you ever wonder how we survive?"

I actually couldn't wait for this tour.
