AMORY'S POV:
I am possibly the most embarrassed person on the entire planet right now.
Why does Brooke hate me so much that she would get a job (or buy her way into it) as a stylist just to come and sabotage my dream. Seriously, what did I even do to this girl?
I honestly don't know why I'm hiding in the bathroom. I'm making it worse. But I can't exactly go out now, they're all outside. They're waiting to look at me with those pitiful eyes and say that they're sorry.
I just can't face it.
I was about to break out into ugly sobs again when there was a knock on the bathroom door. I opened my mouth to tell Vi to go away but I was surprised to find that it wasn't her.
"Hey, Amory." It was Luke. "It's me. Luke. It's me, Luke."
I smiled at his awkwardness, but didn't say anything.
"Do you think you could let me in?" He asked.
He sounded so hopeful, I didn't want to turn him down, so instead I said, "I- I don't know."
"Are you crying?"
I kept my mouth tightly shut this time. Why was I being so blo0dy dramatic?
"Please let me in," he begged.
This time I decided to give up. I shuffled along the floor to turn the lock and then I moved back to where I was sitting before and hugged my knees to my chest.
Luke came stumbling in and had to squish in beside me because the bus toilet was tiny. I looked at him and smiled shyly, laughing when he grinned back.
"What's your middle name?" He asked out of the blue.
I laughed. "W-what?"
"Come on, it'll get you're mind off things," he explained.
"Olivia," I replied quietly.
"Okay, now you ask me?"
I smiled. "Ask you w- what?"
"My middle name," he said.
I blushed because, well obviously I already knew his middle name was Robert. I wasn't kidding when I said they were my favorite band.
"Oh." He chuckled, waited a moment and then said, "hey, do you think you'll warm up to me?"
I was a little bit taken aback by the question and I think he could tell because he quickly added, "you know, just because I - and then you-"
