Missed Connection

yikes I apologize for not ever updating ;( school has just been an ass and I haven't had the energy. I'll try to update more often since people actually enjoy this book! xx

Jc's PoV

Suddenly, I'm awake screaming.

The sheets to the bed stick to arms and tangle within my legs. I fumble trying to break free and get my legs out of the sheets. I look around the area and see that yet again, I'm in a hospital. What happened this time?

I don't realize I'm still screaming till a nurse bursts through the door. She opens the door swiftly and stares at me with cold eyes. "You're awake," she says without emotion. I stare at her blankly and ask, "Awake?" I remember being in the hospital, but was I unconscious? I guess that would explain why I don't remember much.

"Oh, yes. You were um— out," she stutters to get the words out. "Out? What does that mean?" I ask worriedly. I'm terrified of what she is going to tell me, but I have to know.

"You passed out yet again from sudden memory recovery. It's not bad, actually, that's good. But, the doctor wanted you to come in anyways."

"Oh, okay," I say, but I keep my eyes from staring back at her cold brown eyes. Instead I stare out the big square window. I can see trees, bushes, and even a playground in the distance.

"Jc?" she asks snapping me back to reality. I turn my head into her direction and nod my head. "Okay," is all I say.

"Also, you have some visitors that would like to visit you. Is that okay with you?" she asks. I nod my head again. It would be nice to see some familiar faces.

She nods her head and leaves the room. I sit there for about 5 minutes until a group of people file into my room. They all look relieved. I see Kian, Ricky, Connor, Andrea, Lia, and Jenn.

I stare at all of them and give them a smile. "Hey." Kian takes a seat near my bed and looks at me with stupidity. "What?" I ask confused. A smirk spreads across his face as he says, "You fucking idiot." He then starts laughing with everyone else. Everyone seems happy to see me except Jenn. Connor looks relieved as well as Ricky, Andrea looks happy, Lia looks way too overjoyed, and Jenn stays near the corner.

Everyone seems joyful and happy to see I'm okay, which is good. Though, I can't seem to take my eyes off Jenn. She doesn't seem, happy.

While everyone gets deep into a conversation, I manage to slip away and sit next to Jenn in a chair.

She doesn't look up. She keeps her eyes on her hands. She turns them over and back as if she were studying them. "You don't seem very happy," I imply. She still doesn't look up, but she says, "I mean, don't get me wrong. I'm overjoyed you're okay. It's just, I don't know, u feel like this is my fault."

I look at her confused. "Jenn, this was not your fault. You didn't do anything wrong. You didn't cause me to faint, it was the fact I remembered you, which is good. If it weren't for you, I wouldn't remember half the people here."

She finally looks at me. She opens her mouth to say something as soon as Lia comes and sits next to me too. "So, Jc, I was wondering since you're better or whatever that we could go hangout." She looks at me with her cold blue eyes. I think she has blue eyes yikes. Feel

"Can this wait? I'm in the middle of a conversation with—" I turn around to find that the chair Jenn McAllister once sat in, is now empty.
