Missed Connection

Chapter 2

Jenn's PoV

I start to get ready for Jc's when my phone goes off. I look over at it and the ID says "Lia :')". I grab my phone and hit answer. "Hello," I ask. I have no question in my voice because I know who it is.

"Hey Jenn! Just wanted to say sorry about canceling our girls night tonight. I have to clean the house all night! It's a wreck. I'm really sorry!" She says. Crap. I totally forgot about us hanging out. Well, she canceled and I found plans. So it all worked out.

"Oh that sucks Lia. I comeletly forgot about us and Jc called and wants me to come over and film a video with him. So it all worked out perfectly," I say. "Oh thats great," she says. "Well I have to go clean. See ya later!" she just ends the call. Well at least she wasn't mad I made plans.

I look around for something to wear when I find my "Go Away" shirt and some jeggings. I slip those on with converse and brush my hair. Then I walk to the bathroom and put on makeup. I apply some then I put on deoterent. Last I get my phone and keys and leave.

Jc's PoV

I get up from the couch and decide to go and see what Kian and Ricky are doing.

I walk into my bedroom and see clothes laid out on my bed. A tee-shirt jeans and a cap. Thank God they didn't pick out clothes if Lia came. A look around and I don't see them. "Ricky? Kian?" I yell. I walk around until I hear voices coming from the front door. I walk closer so I can hear them better.

"Jc said I could come over and film with him,"
"Jc was having Lia over,"
"Jc just called me and said I could come over,"
"Here let me go find him," someone runs down the hall and bumps into me. "Ow!" I yelp. I look up and see Ricky. "Oh sorry," I say. "Jc! You said you were having Lia over! Not Jenn!" he yells. "Well Lia canceled and said Jenn still needed to film with someone so I called her! Sorry for not telling ya'll," I say. I conpletly forgot about telling Kian and Ricky.

"Well next time tell us before you change plans. Now if you want to change I'd hurry up," says Ricky. "Okay." I decide to change even though Lia isn't coming over.

I run to my room to get dressed. I quickly do that and run to the kitchen. I see Jenn, Ricky, and Kian all having a conversation. "Hey guys. Sorry I took so long," I say. "Oh its okay. I'll leave you two alone. I need to go grocery shopping real quick anyways. Ricky, come?" says Kian. "Yeah I'll be right there," Ricky says. He grabs the keys and says bye to me and Jenn and runs out the door with Kian.

"So, um, did you have any ideas?" Jenn asked. Really Jc? You didn't even think of an idea! "Uh- actually yes!" What am I saying. "Oh okay well what is it?" She asks. I feel my face turning bright red and I don't have to even tell Jenn for her to be able to figure it out. "Jc? You okay? Your face, its um, red," she says. "Oh yeah its uh really really hot in here," I lie. "Really? I'm actually kinda cold," she says. "Want me to turn up the heat?" I ask. "Well if your hot then I'll be okay," she says. I don't want her to be cold.

"Here let me go get you a jacket." I stand up and run to my room. I shove threw all of my clothes until I find a hoodie. This will work. I run back to the living room and see Jenn laying on the couch. "Uh, here if you need one," I say. I give her the hoodie and she puts it on. "Thanks. Now back to the video. What was your idea?" Crap. Wait! I have a notebook with a ton of video ideas! "Hey Jenn I'll be right back. Give me like 3 minutes." I run to my room and look threw my dresser until I find the notebook. I flip threw until I find a video idea that hasn't been crossed out. I run back to the living room, again. "Sorry about that. The video idea was Things Girls Do That Guys Hate and they other way around," I say. "Oh yeah thats cool. Were do you wanna film?" she asks. The house is a wreck, so is my room. "How about outside?" I ask. Hopefully she doesn't think I'm crazy.

"Uh sure! Well we should probably get ready to film. Can you get the lights? I'll get the camera," she says. I rememeber the lights are in Kian's room. Shit. Kian's room is locked. I run back over to the living room and see Jenn with the camera. She doesn't see me, so I just spy on her. "Hmmhmm hmm hmmm," she hums. She sits there playing with her hair. Wow. She's beautiful. Wait, Jc! You don't like Jenn. You like Lia. Right? I push the thought out of my mind and walk over to Jenn.

"Hey Jenn, I have bad news," I say. A worried look spreads across her face. "What happened?" she asks. "Well the lights are kind of in Kian's room, and Kian keeps his room locked," I say. The worried look has vanished and is now a dissapointed look has come. "Ohh, well I can run home real quick and get the lights if you want," she says. "Oh no its okay. Kian usually doesn't take too long shopping," I lie. He takes way too long. One time I asked him to get some bread and he came back an hour later with hotdog buns.

"Wanna watch some Netflix?" I ask. "Yeah sure." She gets up and grabs a blanket from the chair and sits back down. "Want some?" she asks refferring to the blanket. "Nah I'm fine." She sits down next to me with her blanket. I turn on a movie and we sit and watch it.

After about 15 minutes Jenn has layed her head against my shoulder and my arm is wrapped around her. I wonder how this happened.

The movie finishes and Jenn is asleep on my shoulder. She looks so peacefull. I try to get up and turn off the TV without disturrbing her but fail. "Jc..." she mumbles. "Jenn its okay you can go back to sleep. Kian and Ricky arn't here yet." I walk over to her and she lays against me again. She falls back asleep and so do I.
