What Brought Us Together

Chapter 5

Koby POV

I can't believe I have never noticed CeCe before. She was the most beautiful thing I have ever laid my eyes on. Her dark chocolate curls sprung when she walked and her eyes matched her hair color. When you looked into them they seemed to go on forever and that she could look into your very soul. She had the perfect figure with curves in all the right places and legs that looked endless. Right now we were walking down the hallways to the elevator to bring us to the main floor. When we went inside the elevator I wrapped my arms around her waist and kissed her forehead. When we touched sparks ignited and I knew I would never let her go.

As we walked through the living room on the main floor I saw lustful gazes from other werewolves. I growled at all of them and secured my arm around CeCe with a tight grip. I heard her gasp slightly and whimper. I quickly loosened my grip noticing that I must have been hurting her. " Are you OK Ce" I whispered in her ear. "Ya my side just stings a little bit, the pain will go away soon though" she says back. I gently take her in my arms in a hug and put my head into her neck to smell her intoxicating smell of strawberry banana. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to hurt you beautiful" I say in her ear as I put kisses down her neck. Suddenly an idea comes to mind that will take her mind off what I did. "Do you want to go for a run,we could invite Kat and Jake?" I said thinking of telling my sister and best friend about us being mates.

After sending Jake and Kat a message to meet us through the pack link. I went out side with CeCe. I had been so caught up in talking to her that I forgot that I haven't shifted yet. Suddenly as if me thinking it was a reminder, there was a crack in my spine. A sharp pain ran throughout my body. It stayed like this for a few more minutes before finally stopping. When the process was finally over I looked down to see I was a dark brown color with white paws. I instantly noticed that my senses were a lot better. I could here the different bird calls from trees in other towns. I could smell the just cut grass from 2 houses down. I then looked up at my mate and noticed that in her place was a light brown wolf with white paws and ears. She was beautiful. I went up to her and rubbed my head against her neck taking in her scent.

I then heard someone cough and looked to see that Kat and Jake were standing in front of us. They were standing a little too close together so I gave them a curious look. They must have noticed my look because they glanced at each other before Kat turned to me. "We're mates" She said looking at me with a worried expression. I don't know why, maybe she thought I would be mad. I mind linked her 'that's great, so are we'. She instantly lit up "I figured as much" she said out loud. She then went behind a tree and came back as a white wolf with black paws and spot around her eye. i then looked over to Jake who had also shifted and was a black wolf with white paws and spot around the opposite eye. We then ran around the half the perimeter of our territory because we have one of the largest amounts of land in the country.

We then went back to the house and went to the theater room to watch a movie. 

Katrina's POV

OK there was one problem that I never liked to discuss with my friends when we watched a movie. Being 16 means that by now we are done watching Barbie Fairytopia and now have screwed up movies like Paranormal Activity. I mean seriously who thinks of these ideas. Some pretty messed up people, I think. No offense to people that love those movies. They were good movies...... I just have to be that one teenager that hates everything remotely scary. I should be OK with this being a werewolf and all. But no, not me. To me being a werewolf means everything is even scarier. For example, humans don't think we are real so why can't ghosts or zombies be real too.  This is why when everyone said that wanted to watch 'Mama' I didn't say anything. I'm used to being in the theater room and plugging my eyes and ears so I cant even be anywhere near the movie. This time I was being watched 24/7 by my mate though so I couldn't pretend to get bored and fall asleep. 

Jake put in the movie and then came back to the couch I was sitting on. When he sat down he pulled me to sit on top of him. For most of the movie I just stared at the floor or ceiling. Then a piercing scream came from the screen, which made me scream bloody murder. I clenched tightly onto Jake hoping that Mama wouldn't notice I was here. Maybe I could still make a run for it. Maybe if I  "Kat whats wrong are you OK" Jake said pulling back and looking me in the eye . "Ya I'm fine" I whispered to him trying to hide the worry in my voice and looking away from him. He then took my chin in his large hands and straightened it to look directly in his eyes. Why was he so intimidating, why couldn't I lie to him like everyone else. "Don't lie to me Katrina, whats wrong" Jake said in a serious voice but I saw worry clear in his eyes. " I'm scared OK, I don't like scary movies" I hissed at him. He then gave me a sad look and guilt flooded through me. i didn't mean to yell at him. It was just embarrassing to say that, most teenagers are absolutely fine with watching movies like this. It's not fun being an outcast. " Jake I'm sorry I didn't mean to say it like that" I whispered to him putting my hands on his cheeks so he would look at me.  "It's OK Kat I shouldn't have pushed you to say that, I Just don't like it when you keep things from me" Jake says wrapping his muscular arms around my waist. I then did something that I thought I would never do up until this morning.

I kissed Jake.
