The strong smell of coffee fills the atmosphere of The Coffee Lounge, a small coffee shop that I have been going to since I moved in my apartment. I lift up my coffee cup, and bring it up to my lips. I take slow, careful sips of the hot liquid.

Collin comes over to where I'm seated at, and takes a seat across from me. "Sorry I took so long. The barista was talking me to death." He murmurs while nodding his head in the direction of the cashier.

I look in the direction, and see the girl eyeing him with a flirtatious look in her eyes. I stop myself from laughing by taking another sip of my coffee. Seems like somebody is a fan of his.

I open my mouth to say something to Collin, but suddenly a group of girls rush over to him. I watch as they ask him for autographs and take pictures with him. I can't help but watch in wonder. Is this what he deals with when he goes out in public? If I was in his position, I think I'll go crazy from the lack of privacy.

When the girls finally leave, I ask Collin, "It must be fun being a famous actor, and having girls fawn all over you."

Collin's eyes widen at my question. He then asks, in surprise, "You know who I am?"

I nod my head, and give him a small smile. "Yeah. I haven't been living under rock, nor was I born yesterday." I say jokingly.

Collin shakes his head. "No! I didn't mean it like that. It was just that you didn't freak out like most girls do when they see me." He picks up his cup of coffee and takes a long drink from it.

I don't blame him for being surprised about me not fangirling over him. I'm surprised at my own self. Teenage me would have had several heart attacks if I saw him. Now, though, I am a mature woman, and I know how to keep my calm.

I shrug my shoulders and take another sip of my coffee.  I set my cup back down and fiddle my thumbs as we sit in silence between us.

"So, tell me about yourself." He suddenly asks.

My eyes widen at the sudden preposition. Never has a guy asked me about myself. Not even my exes. That's how shitty my relationships were.

"Well I was born and raised here in New York City. My mom is an OB/GYN at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, and my dad is a lawyer. I have an older brother and a younger sister. I'm a dancer, as you already know." I tell him.

Collin has his chin propped up on the palm of his hand as he listens to me. The look on his face shows interest. My heart starts beating a little faster than normal. I don't know what's going on, but I don't know if I like it or not.

"It seems like you have a really cool family." He replies. He gives me a small smile.

I smile at his compliment and nod my head. "Yeah they are."

We sit there for a bit chatting about random things until my phone buzzes beside me. I excuse myself and pick it up. A text message from Brooke pops up on the lock screen. I type in my pass code and open up the message.

Hey Bre! I was wondering if you can come over for a bit. Kevin's off doing a photo shoot until late tonight, and Charlie and I are feeling lonely :( -Brooke

A huge grin spreads across my face at the text message. I miss Brooke. Ever since her engagement with Kevin, she hasn't been able to hang out with me and the other girls.

Sure, I'll be over there in a few -Aubrey

She sends a bunch of smiley face emojis which makes me smile even harder. I turn my phone off and look back up to see Collin with a strange look on his face. I can feel my face heat up at the realization of him thinking that I'm texting another guy.
