Chapter One
The world we live in possesses two kinds of people.
The people who tell you the truth and the people who tell you what you want to hear.
Confused?
Well, I'll explain.
Humans have taken the initiative to formulate the term "little white lie".
A lie that's meant to be harmless, often done to spare someone's feelings or for some other diplomatic reason.
Some would say a lie is a lie, no matter how small and the truth is always the best route.
But those same people tend to be the ones who lie, saying it may not be the best route, but it's the easier one.
For example, say you and a friend go out to the mall shopping for an outfit.
Your friend then tries on some clothes and asks how they look in it.
They ask for your opinion, but in actuality they have what they want you to say already planned out in their head. The friend wants you to say that they look amazing.
It's good if you think they actually look good in it but when you think the complete opposite, that's when it goes sour.
Let's just say you replied with "Eh, doesn't really suit you well." instead.
At this point you have been completely honest and told them the truth and they'll probably respond with "I see where you would think that."
In reality they don't see where you would think that, because if they did they would have never picked it up from the rack in the first place.
Well, you see, they are basically contradicting themselves and that's when it gets confusing.
Aaron Allston once said "There are two types of people in the world, and I'm one of them."
If I had to choose, I would say I was a firm believer in honesty, whether blunt or not.
I would say I was categorized as one of the people who told you the truth. I'm a honest person and that's certainly one trait of mine that I value. But here, in this house, they don't appreciate the honesty. They think stating my opinion is rude and continually wished for me to leave.
I've moved house to house. Town to town. City to city. Country to country and I finally can't take it anymore. I just want it all to stop and finally have a peace in mind.
Too bad the world won't let me because they are content with having their "little white lies".
