Jerking her head off of her pillow, in a sitting position, Clary screamed. She wasn't one to have nightmares often but for the past few mouth that all she had when she closed her eyes. Ever since she went that Homecoming after party she had blamed herself for being so naïve . Her screams didn't stop until she felt arms go around her small frame , pulling her into a hug of reassurance.

"Clary , I'm right here. It's okay, your okay." the voice said repeatedly as she sobbed into his chest. Over the summer she begged her parents to allow her to move to New York with her brother , Johnathon, and they had agreed. According to her mother , it made since seen as she was moving there after graduation to attend Art school. "If only she knew the real reason" Clary thought at that moment. "Jon?" Clary said pulling her head up to look at her brother now. "Hey" he said looking down at her with a sad smile. "I'm sorry, I woke you up and you school in the morning. I'm sorry." Clary looked at her shaking hands , feeling ashamed. Johnathon knelt down on the side of her bed and looked at her face and said " Hey , no need to apologize . As long as your okay, that sounded like a hell of a dream". Taking hold of hands he stood up and kissed her on top of her messed up red hair, while asking her if she could sleep now. She nodded in reply as Johnathon squeezed her hand once and lift. Clary lied though, after that she couldn't sleep a wink so instead she grabbed her sketchbook and her pencil and began to draw her dream. Hoping it would help.

Johnathon's POV

Johnathon woke up to the smell of bacon being cooked and instantly he knew who it was. Clarissa , his younger sister. She had moved in with him over the summer because she ,much to his disbelief , wanted to get to know the city before coming for college. He loved his sister but he could always tell when something was wrong and she needed time and space. His suspicions were proven correct when he heard her screaming last night and the way she cried into his shirt. This is why he was always so protective of her when he lived in L.A , she may seem tough on the outside but she was still only 16.

As he made his way to the kitchen the smell intensified, he smile when he remembered what a great cook Clary (as she prefers to be called) was. Walking in he meets Clary seated at the table eating in a hurry. " You better slow down before you choke" he said jokingly. Hearing his voice she looked up and smiled " Well, It's my first at a new school I wanna be early, and I knew you would wake up for bacon" she said "And you have to show me around too" she added as an after thought. "Okay , where's mine" he said  laughing as he grabbed his plate.
