Chapter 1: New Me
Would you believe me if I told you that I'm popular now ?
I was the fat girl, who always got bullied for one simple reason and I would always hear the same 3 letter word being whispered behind me. F-A-T. So one day I finally got sick of it, I started starving myself and hardly ever eating and it worked. I got skinnier and skinnier until I was happy with my size and even though they still bullied me and called me anorexic, I tried not to mind because at least I was skinny now. However when the intensity of the bullying became too much I moved to a different state, dyed my hair blonde to match my green eyes and changed my name to Kacie Stewart. I liked the new me, I preferred the new me. I had one mission, to become popular and I was NOT going fail.
Present day
My alarm went off waking me from my sleep, for once in my life I was excited to go to school. It was senior year and I was going to make the best of it. After rubbing my eyes, I got up and started getting ready, I wasn't sure what to wear but in the end I settled for a white floral bralette and denim high waisted shorts with white Air Force 1- my shorts were a little too short but that was the look I was going for. I heard my Mom shout that breakfast was ready, I grabbed one piece of toast , still sticking to my diet and I managed to mumble a goodbye before briskly walking out the door. I got into my car that my Mom bought for my 17th birthday, I only accepted the car because it was a one of a kind. 30 minutes later, I was in the school parking lot trying to find a parking space and when I finally did, I realised that I was running late. I quickly made my way to the main office where I was given my timetable with my locker combination - luckily my locker was close enough to the "popular's" as possible. When I reached my homeroom, Mrs Wyatts (My new teacher) greeted me and introduced me to the students there.
"No need to be shy now, Introduce yourself," she said whilst smiling at me and then glancing back to the class.
"Hello, I'm Kacie Stewarts," I put on a fake smile and did a small wave. I'm not going to lie, I was loving the attention that I was getting. My smile slowly faded when I was told to sit next to some girl who seemed like an outcast since she was sat by herself and not really paying any attention to anything.
"Greaaaat," I mumbled under my breath. Thankfully, the bell rang so I wasn't there for too long. As I was about to walk out to my next lesson I felt a hand grab my arm. I was about to protest until I saw the face that belonged to the hand holding my arm. He was definitely my definition of attractive - Dark brown hair that was messy making it more attractive with green eyes that stood out easily. Whilst I was busy zoning out drooling over him, he was saying something. Realising I wasn't paying any attention, He waved his hand in my face.
"Kacie ?" He smirked knowing that I was checking him out.
"Yes ?" I tried to say it in a nonchalant way, I was going to play my 'hard to get' act .
"Your new here right ?" I nodded trying to figure out why he stopped me.
"Then how did you think you would know your way to," He took a look at my timetable "Maths."
"Well I'd make my way somehow and it was nice speaking to you but I've got to get to maths, So Bye." I gave him a genuine smile and a wave then left. I heard people call the guys name so I learned that he was called Ky. And Ky, boy are you gorgeous. Maths was just like every other lesson BORING especially because I hardly talked to anyone. What I did observe from this school is that the popular people are popular for something like Sports, Dance Team or Cheer Squad so because it was the beginning of the semester at lunch there was a sign up sheet for Cheer Squad and the Dance Team. I could not give up the opportunity. The rest of the day was uninteresting but I was still one step closer to becoming popular and try-outs were tomorrow so Day 1 complete and Day 2 Here I Come.
