"Mom, are you feeling better?" I said walking towards the white queen size bed grabbing her cup of tea. She had some sort of a break down after we left the hospital and stayed in her room for the next four hours.
Clearing her throat she looked at me. "Yes, I'm better honey, thanks." I nodded and left, still wondering what might've happen between her and dad that she reacted that way.
Several minutes later I parked in front of Lola's house. Confused at the white BMW - that was placed in the garage besides her own - I grabbed my phone out of the red leather purse and dialed. Just as I was about to hang up she answered.
"Hello?" she panted out of breath.
"Yeah, uh mm, hi Lola." I said a little taken aback.
"Oh, hi Meg," then a little impatient added, "what do you need?".
"A-are you home alone?"
She hesitated. "No, actually I'm at my aunt's house." Just at the same time I saw a shade - a man's shade - closing the windows.
"Oh, well, okay." I didn't wait for her to say anything back and ended the call.
I sped up downhill with nowhere else to go as the rain began to fall down. A sea of thoughts were crushing my mind's shore and I couldn't control it. Why was Lola hiding things from me and lying of her whereabouts? How my dad was doing at the hospital? And what happened between them both yesterday? I was dying to know but afraid to find out because something big must've happened this time that mom got so upset with him. Are they really gonna divorce? I know dad forgot to pay some bills and we were having a bad time but is it this bad? So many questions with no answers.
Tears began flooding my eyes to the point that I almost couldn't see the road. Out of the blue, a black car appeared in front of me, making me brake suddenly and hitting my forehead with the steering wheel. It has darken up and I could not see beyond where lights allowed me. My head spun so fast and when someone knocked my glass I jolted.
"Are you okay, miss?" The voice sounded so familiar.
I lowered the windows of the car. Absentmindedly my hand flew over the now bleeding forehead, "I- I don't know. I mean, I guess." Letting out a little snort I saw my hand, "Great!"
"Megan?" The voice sounded surprised.
Immediately I looked up and narrowed my eyes.
His smiley face got me bewildered, "I'm Tyler, remember me?"
I muted.
"Coffee guy? Tears shoulder guy?" he joked.
This time I blushed, letting out a nervous grin, "Yeah, I know who you are."
"Uhh, you have a pretty good smack there. Look, I'm sorry-"
"Oh no, it wasn't your fault." I cut him.
Racked, he continued. "Let me see it." and I budged. He took a look and told me to wait. It took a few seconds for my eyes to get used to the dark, heading to his car I saw how well formed his figure was; strong arms, great muscles and a perfect tiny butt that was almost screaming for me to grab it.
Tyler looked up everywhere in the car and finally found something. When he came back, in his right hand was a little white box. He sat in the passengers side and started working. I thought it was completely unnecessary but he insisted. After everything was in its place I took the time to gaze at his face, drops of rain falling from a well-defined jaw, green eyes looking concerned, wet thick eyebrows, soft lips and peanut butter hair.
