HARRY'S POV
She ran out the door, and I watched her go. I made no effort to go after her, just watched. The smell of the coffee still lingers in the air.
"Miss Gomez, straight to the principal's office with you!" Professor Mormon commanded, grabbing her roughly by the arm. She chuckled, and waved goodbye to me as she was dragged away.
Silence. It enveloped me. The tension was so thick, you could cut it with a knife. I felt the stares coming from dozens of eyes. They were waiting. They expected me to go after her.
I clear my throat. "Get back to work."
They all redirect their attention, and I stand up. I walk out of the classroom, and into the hallway. They probably think I'm going after her. But I'm not. I've got something else to do. I don't hate her, and I feel bad that her hair and outfit are ruined.
But, c'mon. If Ari wants to be trashy, then she's gonna be treated that way. She can't expect any differently. As I walk down the hallway, I send a mass text to the boys:
Hangout. Now.
I decide to not be a complete dick, and I walk towards the science wing. Once I find the right classroom, I knock on the door.
The professor says I can come in, and I walk into the room.
"Uh, I need Nicki." I tell her, noticing Ari's roommate's questioning look.
"For what, Mr. Styles?" The professor asks, crossing her arms over her chest.
"It's an emergency." I state vaguely, giving Nicki a look that says 'you better come now.'
Nicki immediately stands up, telling her professor that she has to go. Once she's gathered her things, we walk out into the hallway.
Once the door closes behind us, she glares at me. She shoves me, and I hit the wall behind me with my back. Okay, I probably deserved that, but damn, it hurt.
"I already know this has to do with Ariana. Now, what did you do to her?" She demands to know, glowering at me.
"Honestly, it wasn't my fault. Selena came and--" I start to explain only to be interrupted.
"Ugh, that bitch? Ari could handle her any given day." Nicki dismisses the mention of her.
"Well, apparently, she couldn't today. Selena dumped her coffee on top of Ari's head." I enlighten her.
"And Ari beat her ass?" She asks, though it's more of a statement than a question. "Right?"
"If by that, you mean she ran out in tears......then yeah."
"Damn, where did she go?"
I shrug in response, pointing to the left down the corridor. She gives me a look that says 'I'll deal with you later.' and rushes off down the hallway.
I keep going the way I was headed, exiting the building. I walk away from the campus, going towards my car. Once I get there, I drive off to the hangout. I need to talk to the guys. Now.
Once I pull up in front of the place, I step inside. Plopping down on the couch, I pull out my phone. I'm not surprised someone already put it on snapchat. But what does surprise me is how different it looks from this person's point of view.
From this angle, I look like such an asshole. I look like I'm staring at a rat instead of a human being. And she looks like everything in her life is falling apart. A tinge of guilt hits me, but it fades away just as quickly as it came. Tossing my phone aside, I wait for the boys to arrive.
