Chapter Five

*1 week later*

"Hurry up, Viv! We're going to be late for the bus!"

"Calm down, Scarlette. The bus is literally right around the corner. Plus, I'm sure running up to the bus like an over excited four-year-old is not the impression you want the "cool kids" to judge you by."

"Okay, fine. We do need act cool. Come on. Think about all those chick-flicks scenes where the hot guy walks in in slow motion. We gotta look like that. Except, we aren't dudes," Scarlette was preparing herself, both physically and mentally, for "the biggest moment in her entire life," quoted from before,"All right. Here we go. On the count of three, we walk around this corner and simultaneously flick our hair. Three...two...one, go."

And so we do. I don't think that many people noticed, but don't tell Scarlette that. She believes everyone was gawping at us as we walked towards a mini bus.

There is only 20 something seats, quite a few of seats are taken by the luggage. The driver is someone's elder brother. He is our "adult supervision," but honestly, I don't think he will really care what or who he is supervising, so long as nothing will get him into trouble.

"Ohhh, look Viv. There's the place."

Wow.

This place is pretty neat. Four cabins lined up next to each other. Some grass in front and then the lake.

Once we all pile out of the bus we all on the grass and start to stretch our cramped legs. The driver, he looks like he is in his early 20's. He then introduces himself.

"Your attention please. Thanks. So, I'm not good at giving speeches, so I just gonna say the basic. My name is Aiden. I'm your supervisor. Rules; in each cabin, no more than 4 people. There are two cabins for the boys and two for the girls. No going in the lake by yourself. Someone has to be with you in the lake or just watching you. That rule goes to the people who are weak swimmers. No damaging people or property that is not yours. No going out of this site without my permission. The toilets and showers are behind the cabins. Lastly, have fun and try not to annoy me too much," A few people started clapping to be polite after he finished listing the rules.

"Come on, Viv. Laura and Kamryn said they want to be with us in our cabin."

"Did you already make some friends?"

"Well, while you were staring out the window listening to music, I was nudging us up the social ladder. I just told everyone you get car sick, or bus sick, so you have to look out the window and try not to vomit."

"Jee, thanks," walking into our cabin, I see four beds, a sink, a table and a window with a view of the lake. There was also two girls, each on their own bed.

"Hi Scarlette, hi Vivian. Are you feeling alright?" One of the girls spoke up. She was beautiful, with chocolate coloured hair, big eyes and a big smile.

"What? Oh, yeah, yeah I'm good."

"I'm Laura, and this over here is Kamryn," Laura introduced the other girl, who had a very tomboy look. Short brown hair and hazel eyes. She looked nice though. I'm not a very girly-girl either. I can see that we will get along well.

"So, are you girls in the popular group? Was that why you were invited?"

"We are friends with a few of the boys, but we aren't in particularly in the popular group, as you put it," That was Kamryn speaking, "What about you? I haven't seen you around before."

"Oh well, Viv and I were invited even though we didn't know anyone before we met you. We might have been invited by accident, but I don't think so. There must be a reason. They must have seen my fashion sense and Vivian's practicality."

"I'm sure. So, what do you guys wanna do now?" Laura saved us from Scarlette's ranting.

"What about we explore the lake? Im hot anyways, I could definitely cool off in the water," Laura and myself nodded our heads at Kamryn's idea.

"Well, you guys go do that. I'm going to cool off by taking a shower. You don't know how dirty I feel after sitting on those germ filled seats. A lake isn't going to clean me." Scarlette has this thing against germs and dirt.

So while Scarlette prepares for a shower, us girls prepare our bathers and towels.

This is going to be fun.

That was a quick update. I wrote all this just this morning.
So I'm going back to school tomorrow. I'll try to write as much as I can in my free time, but I don't know how busy I'm going to be.
