Chapter Twelve

Laura's P.o.V
A man, chocolate skin, hair and eyes with a purple shirt, just suddenly... I don't know, it was kind of think he-

Appeared out of thin air.

Don't be silly, Brook. No one can do that.

You forget where we are. The tests, you just did were around the elements. Doesn't that say something?

It means that we are dealing with people who have advanced-very advanced- technology.

You need to have an open mind in these circumstances.

I don't want to open because I don't want my thoughts to be stolen. Brook was quiet.

Can I say "I told you so" if I'm right.

If it pleases you. 10 minutes with her and she is already driving me insane. But then, it is nice to have her company. Let's just say, the way we're going, this is going to be a love/hate relationship.

The man, Master Feax, spoke again, "Most of you must be terrified and unsure of what is going on. But rest assured, all will be explained to you in a few short moments.

"Throughout your entire life, you have been studied and analysed-" A commotion rose at these words.

"Is that even legal?"

"EVERYTHING!?"

"Can't we have a little privacy?"

"Stalkers."

Master Feax waited for everyone to calm down before starting again. "As I was saying, yes we have analysed you, but for a good reason. Some of your parents went here as well, and when they graduated, they were given the choice to stay here, or have a life on Earth."

"You said some of our parents. What about the other people?" That was Sammy asking.

"We are notified when there is a baby that has a chance of being selected, so we monitor them as well."

"But who can actually come here? What do you mean 'with a chance of being selected'?" Scarlette asked. She seemed really confused. I don't blame her.

"Did your Ailons explain what your Tinntisc is?" Now everyone had a confused look on their face.

"Master, what's an Ailon?"

"The voice inside your head who started to speak to you when you arrived here. Now, did they explain what a Tinntisc is?" There was some nodding of heads. Everyone seemed extremely well behaved for the Master. You would think we would treat him like a subsitute teacher, but instead, it was like he was the principal, "As you all know, a Tinntisc is a small light right in the centre of your heart. Every single thing in every Galaxy and universe that has a heart, or an equivalent of one, has a Tinntisc. However, the rarity of a Tinntisc is that it can be activated. One must look inside their self, just like everyone here did, and imagine that little light flicking on to activate it, and that is only if you are special enough to do it.

"There is so much more that goes into this concept. However, now is not the time. You are tired and will be starting you lessons tomorrow, so be ready. For now all I say is good luck." Master Feax then seemed to melt into water and then dissolve into the ground, leaving no trace that he was ever there.

Kamryn's P.o.V

Well...that wasn't something you learned everyday.

Just you wait until lessons tomorrow. Your little mind will be blown.

Excuse me, I do not have a "little mind". I don't think you even have one.

Oh, so now you know everything about me?

Last I checked, you were inside my head.

Didn't you hear the Master, he said there is much more to learn, or are you too deaf?

Enlighten me then, you must know every little detail.

Oh please-

"Hey! Kamryn!" It was Vivian, waving me over to the door, "Come on," she said once I stood next to her, "You've got to see this." The door was opened by someone else to show whiteness. Like an untouched canvas.

"What!? But- there was a room. It was all brown, green and warm. What happened to it?" I was in shock. How was this possible?

"Brown and green? The room was different shades of blue."

"No reds, yellows and oranges."

"It was definitely greys and whites."

"Or..." Laura spoke, "Maybe there were seperate rooms using one door."
