"Juliet! Where are we going?"
"Tatt! Just enjoy the ride." I groaned and leaned back in my seat. My best friend had had me riding through Texas for two hours. I was tired and my butt was numb.
"Can you at least tell me how much longer?"
"Five minutes. We're going to a pool party for a friend of mines kid."
"Now was that so hard to say?" She stuck her tongue out at me and turned into a driveway.
"Come on. I'll introduce you to everyone." We walked up to the door and just walked in, no knock or anything.
"Andy?!"
"We're out back, Dragonfly!" She pulled me through the house and we walked through the back doors. Outside were easily 30 people. I didn't get the chance to exactly look at everyone because Juliet pulled me over to her boyfriend, Andy Beirsack of Black Veil Brides.
"Andy you remember this stranger, right?"
"Tattoo girl? Hell yeah." The last time Andy and I had met he was in my tattoo parlor getting a tribute to Juliet on his chest. "Great to see you again Tatt."
"You too Andy. I see the tattoo still looks great." He, along with the rest of the guys were shirtless, which made sense seeing as it was a pool party. Juliet and I were the only two not showing off our swimsuits yet.
"Oh yeah, I love it. I see you finished your other sleeve." I held my arm out. The most recent tattoo I had gotten was six months ago and it was words. "Yeah. I got this about six months ago. Came up with the idea myself." We continued to talk tattoos until Juliet dragged me to the bathroom inside the house. "Swimsuit. Change."
"Okay mom." She rolled her eyes and I started to change. It was white, a definite contrast to my deep purple dyed hair. The top tied in the back around my neck and latched together near my mid back. The bottom tied on each hip. It showed off all of my tattoos perfectly. I walked out and saw Juliet had left. "That skank." I walked out and stood leaning on the wall.
"ALRIGHT EVERYONE!" I froze. Juliet was on the diving board.
"If you could all direct your attention to the wall by the doors, you will find my best friend, Tatt." As she requested they all turned to look at me.
"JULIET YOU WHORE!"
"I LOVE YOU TOO TATT!" I rolled my eyes and noticed a few guys and girls walk my way. "Hey. I'm Matt Good. I can see why she calls you Tatt." I laughed. Over the 22 years I had lived the last 6 of them I had spent getting tattoos. The last 5 I had spent giving them. When I was 17 I got an intership at a parlor and when I was 19, I started my own tattoo parlor, Kings and Queens. There were three artists including myself in the shop and a receptionist.
"Hey. This isn't the only reason, when we met each other is when she came in my shop to get one of her tattoos."
"You work in a tattoo parlor?"
"Yeah. I own my own. Kings and Queens here in Texas."
"Where in Texas?"
"Austin."
"Oh cool. I'm Jake. I've seen you before, just never got to talk to you. I'm in Black Veil Brides."
"Oh. Cool."
"Here. This is James, he's in Asking Alexandria. Next to him is Riot, Ben's adopted daughter. Next to her is Ben, he's in AA too. You met Matt. That's Ashley, he's in BVB with me and on the end there is Ben's wife, Sammi." Jake went around the group of people who had walked over to me and pointed out who was who. I waved, "As Juliet yelled out, I'm Tatt."
"I really like your hair." I smiled at Riot.
"Thanks. A friend of mine is a stylist, I'm sure I could get her to give you a makeover if you wanted. Not that you need it." She blushed. Before I could say anything else I was being picked up and thrown over someones shoulder. And the next thing I knew, I was in the pool. When I emerged I saw Andy in the pool laughing. "What? It's a pool party and no one was in. You were the first one to pop in my mind."
"Juliet! I really hate your boyfriend sometimes. Andy, if my hair fades, I'm going to shave yours off."
