I know. This topic is so overdone and debated over that it's become annoying to most people. While everyone has individual opinions on the subject, some people have far worse things to worry about just for having a different sexual preference. Bullies, homophobes, parents, a community, family, and even friends can have a negative impact on a person if said person decides to "come out" with how he/she is feeling.

Gay marriage is not the subject in this story, treating a person like another human being is the subject. Say there is a girl in a classroom where the teacher is handing out candy for an experiment, and the majority of the children pick a blue colored candy while she picks an orange colored candy....are you going to discriminate her for that? Are you really going to tell her she can't choose the orange colored candy, that she has to pick a blue one too? I don't know if other people have thought about it in that way, but that's how I look at it. You wouldn't tell a girl she can't pick the orange candy just because the majority of people chose the blue, so why would you say that a girl can't fall in love and be in a healthy relationship with another girl just because other girls choose boys?

If you're coming at it with a religious view point, then I refuse to argue. You have the right to think whatever you want and have your own opinions, but I will state my opinion too. Now, don't think I'm trying to start something here but...according to the Christian belief, god created man. If god created man, then it stands to reason that he also created gay people...Now I know they say that the Bible says its wrong to sleep with another person of the same gender, but the Bible also says women are to be virgins when they are married. I don't see a bunch of people hating on girls today that aren't virgins when they're married or telling her that she can't be in a marriage. I've gotten off topic though, my apologies...I shall drop the whole religious topic. If you are religious and I offended you in some way, I am very sorry. Let's move on.

In my experience, I have had people tell me pretty terrible things just because they discovered I'm bisexual. I've had one girl tell me, "You're a snot nosed, disgusting little kid and you being bisexual is a sin against god. How can you even be proud to call yourself bisexual or say that you can fall in love with girls and boys?! It's not even love, its lust and you'll burn in hell for it. Save your soul and repent."

Woah there! I hadn't even said anything to this person, yet they felt the need to send that to me in a message (not on this website) and expected me to be okay with it. I'm going to share my thoughts on her ignorant words and if I offend you, well then I'm sorry but its just my opinion.

First, I'm not religious so it has no effect on me whatsoever when a person tells me I'm sinning against god. I realize that many religious people believe being gay is a sin, and fine that's your opinion but you don't have to start shoving it on me and being a jerk about it. Second, a girl can fall in lust with a boy just the same as a girl can with another girl or a boy with another boy. The gender makes no difference to me, I fall in love with a person not their gender. Third, I'm going to burn in hell for being bisexual? I thought religion was supposed to be a loving thing and this particular girl is telling me that I'm going to burn in hell? Well that's kind of...strange. Fourth, my soul does not need to be saved. I've made mistakes just like everybody else but I will not apologize for being bisexual, for being who I am.

I will most likely do a survey and share other peoples experiences with being discriminated against for being gay, bisexual, etc. and post them as new chapters in this story. Again, if I have offended anyone then I am sorry but this is simply my view on it. Thanks for reading, bye. ♥
